At Converte we love getting real results in the paddock, thats why we invest heavily in research and development and this includes product development, field trials, and independent trials with our partners from industry and academia. This week we were out inspecting paddocks in our trial site in Victoria where we are running wheat, canola and pasture trials. This particular farmer has used Converte products for many years and has some remarkable results, including the highest yielding canola crop in the district. On these soils the converte seed primer and plantfood perform excellently on Canola. So we are investigating this further and running specific Canola trials this year. Previous wheat trials on this property delivered an 8.5% yield increase on wheat when treated with our Bio-Restore Liquid Carbon product, yielding over 10 tonnes to the hectare!! One thing we now know is that the seed primer makes a huge difference and this product alone delivered a 7% yield increase in wheat over the control area.
Pasture improvement is an area where we also see some of our best results, so we thought a pasture trial would be perfect for this farmer. If you look closely at the pasture image - the stock can all be seen in the Converte treated area of the pasture paddock!! That's no surprise to us, we have seen this many times as well as significant weight gains and health benefits in both sheep and cattle.
This year in particularly our products are resonating well with new customers, looking to manage risks and input costs, whilst improving soil function, nutrient cycling and fertiliser efficiency.
