I am honoured to be joining the faculty at the American Laser Study Club's Pediatric Tongue- and Lip-Ties and Laser Frenectomies course this fall — a one-day hands-on program designed for clinicians who want practical, multidisciplinary training in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric oral ties.

I will be presenting alongside Dr. Duc-Minh Lam Do, DMD, a leader in tongue-tie releases and multi-disciplinary infant care. The course covers everything from diagnosis and lactation support to bodywork, laser safety, and live surgical technique simulation — including hands-on wet lab time and 8 CEUs.

This course reflects exactly the kind of collaborative, whole-practitioner approach I believe in: dentists, myofunctional therapists, IBCLCs, and bodywork providers working together to get the best outcomes for patients.

I'm excited to share that I've officially earned my IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) credential!

As a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®), my journey into lactation wasn't a career change—it was a natural extension of the work I've already been doing.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside dentists treating infants with tongue ties. Time and again, I saw the incredible impact that true interdisciplinary collaboration can have on feeding outcomes and family experiences. I also saw the gaps that can exist when providers aren't connected.

That inspired me to pursue my IBCLC certification.

My goal is to help bridge the gap between dental providers, lactation professionals, and other healthcare practitioners so families receive coordinated, evidence-based care throughout their feeding journey.

I'm excited to bring this expanded knowledge to my practice and continue supporting infants and their families while strengthening collaboration across our professions.

Thank you to my family who have always supported me along the way. God has truly blessed so many things along this path. Here's to continuing to learn, collaborate, and provide the best possible care for families. 💛
