Little magic everywhere.

Each day holds little treasures, little glimmers, that help to maintain hope and joy. Sometimes it is in gestures of strangers- a smile, a door being held open....Sometimes it is in finding little treasures in unexpected places.

I always feel like I have seen all the treasures in a space like Atlas Yoga Studio & School but then I find myself surprised by something new or just new to me because I hadn't noticed before.

It reminds me of the importance of staying mindful when I can and to find gratitude if I can.

Sometimes the smallest treasure gives the greatest joy.

I found myself drawn to this planter today, the succulents making me smile, when going for this week's postnatal yoga class.

Feeling calm, centered, and relaxed after getting back to postnatal yoga at

After a week off, it was lovely to restart our practice.

Violet played most of the clads doing tummy time and playing with her toys.

I got to really take space for my practice- relaxing and relaxing the shoulders, hips, and legs. Thank you for leading a perfect cozy class.

June 1- the start of a new month.

I feel like the thr first of each month is a clear opportunity to invite a fresh perspective, to reset into intention, and support the energy you want to bring forward.

I like to set an intention of Abundance at the start of each month- Abundance of happiness, joy, fun, laughter, comfort, and the meeting of all material needs.

There are a couple ways you can do that like washing the front door with a lemon infused soapy water or even simpler....grab the cinnamon from your spice cupboard, place some in one hand...hold your intention in mind and then blow the cinnamon through the door from outside to in Inviting that energy into the home all month long.

Say a little thank you to your home, land, and spirits you believe in (I usually focus on ancestors).

Don't forget to wash your hands after to get all the cinnamon off!

Rituals can be simple, quick, and still be effective.

Getting back into my routines, rituals, and studying.

Things are starting to settle and I am finding space to reintegrate my personal practice and yoga studies. It all looks VERY different now but I am enjoying exploring ways to reintegrate!

Nowadays, my meditation pillow shares space with Violets boppy pillow.

My movement practice is working in some dynamic stretches where ever I can and not always in a sequence- maybe a few movements, a pause to support Violet, and then return to some other movements.

I hang out in Violets play area- as she explores movement in her way, I take time for a little tea and re-reading some texts. Currently, brushing up on my Yin knowledge.

It's messier, it's less organized, but it is enchanting and magickal in its own way.

What is your personal practice looking like lately?

Lilac season is in full bloom!

This is my favourite time of year, there are soo many lilac bushes and trees on and near my street. This time of year is all about enjoying g the delicate purple and white flowers as they open and share their scent with the world. There is simply nothing like these couple weeks of lilac scenting the breeze!

Did you know in the Victorian language of flowers... when Lilacs were given to someone they symbolized first love or old romance and remembrance of those experiences/relationships.

Today was the last day of my first 8 week postnatal yoga journey.

Each week became an opportunity to step out of the house, take a breath, move my body gently, and connect with other moms who just get it. There was never pressure for things to look perfect.

Postpartum can feel incredibly isolating at times, and having even one hour a week to feel supported, grounded, and cared for makes such a difference.

Over the past 8 weeks we focused on gentle movement, breathwork, mobility, core and pelvic floor reconnection, nervous system support, stretching out all of those tight feeding and carrying muscles, and creating moments of rest and softness in a season that can feel very overwhelming.

This postnatal yoga journey became a space where we could arrive exactly as we were tired, emotional, healing, strong, uncertain, joyful, overwhelmed, empowered…sometimes all within the same hour. Babies were fed, cuddled, rocked, changed, and soothed. We practiced through the beautiful unpredictability of motherhood together.

Some of the benefits of postnatal yoga can include:
✨ Supporting postpartum healing and recovery
✨ Reconnecting with the core and pelvic floor gently
✨ Reducing tension in the neck, shoulders, hips, and back
✨ Improving mobility and strength gradually
✨ Supporting nervous system regulation and emotional wellbeing
✨ Creating bonding opportunities with baby
✨ Building confidence in movement again
✨ Connecting with other moms and reducing feelings of isolation
✨ Having a welcoming space where babies are truly welcome exactly as they are

If you are in this season of life and looking for some gentle supportive movement be sure to check out the upcoming new schedule
