Hereâs a hard truth when it comes to nutrition
You cannot out supplement your lifestyle
If youâre not going to bed until 11pm or later (because thatâs the only alone time you get in a day) and then rushing out of your house in the mornings with coffee as breakfast
Because you know youâll just grab a bagel from the break room once youâre at work
And then lunch time rolls around and you have a chicken salad followed by a 2pm coffee and sweet treat (or maybe you got lucky and found a protein bar at the bottom of your purse)
And then you get home to realize nothing has been prepped for dinnerâŠ
So you order takeout while eating your toddlers leftover nuggets and strawberries
And then the night time munchies kick in and youâre searching the cupboards for cookies, ice cream or chocolateâŠbut nothing quite satisfies the craving đȘđŠđ«
Meanwhile youâre feeling exhausted all the time, your hair is still falling out, your weight isnât where you want it, youâre bloated, constipated and struggling to conceive your second baby
So you jump online and see what other people are doing or you buy a supplement from an influencer ad and hope it works đ
But you cannot supplement your way out of not *actually* caring for your body
But donât get it wrong. I use supplements personally AND I use them with my clients but theyâre there to fill in the gaps
(Plus theyâre tested for quality so no one is taking anything crappy)
BUT ITâS FOOD FIRST đ đ„đłđ„©
You cannot just take handfuls of supplements everyday and think itâs going to fix your low energy, hair loss, weight gain, bloating, constipation and fertility struggles.
Your body needs nourishment from real food
Nutrition is one of the most easily modifiable and most over-looked factors of postpartum repletion including optimizing your fertility
You canât out supplement poor nutrition
or poor sleep
or poor gut health
or unchecked stress levels
You just canât
But you can start making small changes that are going to stack up over time and begin to shift your body into a state of feeling energized, rested, and regulated
