🌿 CALLING LOCAL INDIGENOUS ARTISTS + MAKERS 🌿
Omisimâw Wellness + Fireweed Health are creating a beautiful, welcoming community space, and one of the parts we’re most excited about is our thoughtfully curated retail area.
We’re looking for local Indigenous artists and makers who would like to showcase and sell their work with us. Beadwork, moccasins, jewelry, ribbon skirts, artwork, handmade goods and more-we want our shelves to reflect the incredible talent that already exists within our communities.
Our space will be open to the public Monday-Friday, giving people a place to stop in, browse and shop. We’ll also be opening the space for workshops, meetings, gatherings and learning opportunities, more on that soon. 👀
✨ HOW IT WORKS
In-store only: 10% vendor fee — you keep 90% of your sales.
In-store + online: 15% vendor fee — you keep 85% of your sales and have the option to have your work featured through the Omisimâw Wellness online shop.
There are no upfront vendor fees- the fee only applies when your product sells.
Omisimâw Wellness also receives corporate and organizational orders throughout the year, and we would love to create more opportunities to include and showcase local Indigenous art and handmade goods in those orders.
🤎 REMOVING BARRIERS
We also have a limited number of no-cost vendor spaces available.
If having your vendor fees waived would make this opportunity more accessible for you or meaningfully benefit you and your family, you can tell us about that in your application. We want these spaces to reach makers who will benefit from them most.
This opportunity is specifically for Indigenous artists and makers, and applicants will be asked to provide verification of Indigenous identity/community connection.
