Holistic Hub- Atlantic recommendation:
I’m still thinking about the experience from the Dare to Dream retreat with Diane Graves at Anchorage House & Cottages — and one of the most unforgettable parts of the entire weekend was the food created by Angela Black.
Honestly, it was hard to decide what stood out most between the workshops, the connection, the beautiful location, and the meals… because they all felt equally impactful in their own way. The food wasn’t just “good food.” It felt intentional, nourishing, and deeply cared for. You could genuinely feel the heart and soul Angela poured into every creation.
What made it even more meaningful for me personally was that the retreat theme centered around liver health and support — something that has been very close to my heart lately. Every meal felt aligned with that intention. The ingredients, the combinations, the freshness, the thoughtfulness behind it all… it felt like the food itself was part of the healing experience.
One of the things I appreciated most was hearing how Angela approaches cooking as an energetic experience too — preparing meals in a meditative state, singing, chanting, and pouring loving intention into the food she creates. And honestly… you could feel it. There was a softness and grounding presence woven through the entire experience.
She also sourced ingredients mindfully, incorporating local products and highlighting other local businesses and offerings along the way, which added another beautiful layer of collaboration and community to the retreat.
Beyond the meals themselves, Angela’s energy throughout the weekend was calming, welcoming, supportive, and incredibly regulating to be around. She helped create an environment where people could truly slow down, soften, connect, and receive.
So much gratitude for the care, intention, and nourishment she brought into that space. 🤍
