It’s Friday so you know what that means 🎉
This weeks blog is called “When my brain won’t stop brain-ing 🧠“ by our lovely Kelly LeFurgey 😍
“……..Welcome to the inside of my brain. My brain treats thoughts the way Netflix treats episodes. “Are you still watching?” As a matter of fact, I am. Against my will. Somehow all of this is happening while I’m sitting at work, answering emails, getting text
messages from my daughters, and a song I heard this morning is playing on an endless loop in my head. It’s not even a song I like.
Teams message. Teams message. Teams message.
Phone buzz. Email notification. Text message.
Someone just sent a reel I’ll absolutely forget to watch later. There are days when my brain doesn’t get to finish one thought before the next one barges in. It’s like I’ve forgotten what silence sounds like. I guess this is just how having a brain in 2026 feels. Emails to answer. Notifications to check. Decisions to make. Dinner to cook. I do what I can to slow things down, but honestly, short of lighting my phone on fire and moving to the forest to forage for my own food, the mental chatter doesn’t seem to have an off switch.
And then there’s floating.
Sinking down into that dark, silent tank and shutting the door behind me feels like someone finally pressed the mute button on the world. It’s a quiet space that gently reminds my overloaded brain: “Everything is okay, the to-do list can wait, and for now,
it’s safe to just slow down and breathe.” ….. if you can relate to Kelly you’re going to want to finish reading this one ☝️ Head on over to our TFC Blog page or click the direct link we will have posted in our stories. 🔗
