Sometimes, it really is as simple as seeing the person, recognizing their skills, and giving them the same opportunity you would give anyone else.

We love hearing this perspective from employers who are already making inclusion part of the way they do business.

At H.I.R.E., we work alongside employers to help create workplaces where people of all abilities have the opportunity to contribute, grow and belong.

💬 Want to learn more about inclusive hiring or how H.I.R.E. can support your workplace? We’d love to connect.

Celebrating 17 incredible years!

Last week, we had the chance to come together and celebrate Alise as she begins her retirement after 17 years with Inclusion Foothills.

Alise Kuipers has been an important part of the H.I.R.E. program and the work we do in our community. Over the years, she has supported countless connections, encouraged inclusive employment, and worked alongside participants, employers, families, and our team to make a difference.

It was wonderful to celebrate her, share memories, and recognize the many years she has given to Inclusion Foothills.

Alise, thank you for everything you have brought to our team and our community. We wish you all the very best in this next chapter.

Happy retirement!

Sometimes the right person for the job doesn’t look like the person we imagined when we wrote the job posting.

They may communicate differently. Learn differently. Need a little flexibility. Or simply need an employer willing to see what they can do.

Inclusive hiring isn’t about lowering expectations. It’s about widening the door and recognizing talent that might otherwise be overlooked.

At H.I.R.E., we work with job seekers and employers to help make those connections happen.

Because talent is everywhere. Opportunity should be too.

Every employment journey is different, and for Yukari, understanding the person behind that journey is an important part of providing the right support.

As an Employment Coach, she works one-on-one with H.I.R.E. participants to build confidence, strengthen practical employment skills, and prepare not only to find meaningful work, but to succeed and grow in the workplace.

Yukari believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach. By taking the time to understand each participant's strengths, experiences, and goals, she helps create a path forward that works for them.

💙 Meet the people behind H.I.R.E.; helping build a more inclusive community, one opportunity at a time.
