Post-op care is one area where I’ll always stay in my lane.
Every practitioner has their own approach, training and techniques — and this isn’t about criticizing anyone else’s practice.
For me, it’s simple: I work within my training, respect my scope, and recognize when something belongs back in the hands of the surgeon or medical team.
Not every lump is fibrosis.
Not every fluid collection is something to “drain.”
And more pressure doesn’t automatically mean better results.
Post-op bodies are healing bodies ❤️🩹
Knowing when to intervene is important. Knowing when not to intervene is just as important.
My role is to support your recovery with intentional, informed care — not to diagnose, perform medical procedures, or override the direction of your surgical team.
Because exceptional post-op care isn’t about doing the most.
It’s about knowing what’s appropriate, what’s within your scope — and when to stay in your lane.
