CONGRATULATIONS to our own Paul Hills for receiving a 2026 International Association of Fire Fighters Local Leadership Award at the 58th IAFF Convention in Arlington, Texas today. For over two decades Paul served tirelessly as a paramedic, union leader and advocate for his profession and paramedics across Canada. His passion and dedication is unmatched and the award is very well deserved. He continues to hold a position with the Saskatoon Paramedics as well as he is currently driving forward mental health initiatives for first responders with his position at Homewood Health Centre. To the dads who miss the big games, the birthday parties, the holidays, and many more moments in between… yet never fail to answer the call. You show up for your community in its toughest moments, and you show up for your families in the moments that matter most.

Today we recognize the fathers who balance the responsibility of serving their communities with the most important role of all: being Dad.
