Join Autism Ontario and The Hooded Goblin for fun-filled evenings of board games, laughter, and socializing! Meet new people, discover new games, and enjoy a welcoming space to connect with others.

Safer emergency responses start with listening to autistic people.

When an autistic person goes missing, their safety, privacy, and individual needs must remain at the centre of the response.

Autism Ontario is proud to endorse Autism Alliance of Canada's new report, What We Heard: Building a Safer Emergency Response When People Go Missing.

Marg Spoelstra, Autism Ontario's CEO, and Amanda Dimilta, Chief Advocacy, Policy & Community Engagement Officer, participated in a national roundtable alongside autistic people, families, first responders, disability advocates, and community leaders to explore how emergency responses can be strengthened.

This important work reinforces the need for emergency responses that include autistic perspectives, respect individual privacy and agency, and support better planning, training, and coordination before, during, and after an emergency. We are grateful to Autism Alliance of Canada and everyone who contributed to this conversation.

Autistic adults aged 18+ and caregivers of autistic loved ones are invited to join us for a fun-filled outing to see Grease the Musical!

Step back into the 1950s at Rydell High with this electrifying stage musical featuring rock ’n’ roll classics, unforgettable characters, teenage dreams, and summer romance. Enjoy the music, soak up the nostalgic atmosphere, and experience the magic of this beloved musical theatre favourite!

Before the show, participants will have access to a private room to mingle, connect with others, and get excited for the performance. Concession stand will be open for snacks at an additional cost.

Do you want to help advise your local school board on the delivery, development, and funding of special education? We are recruiting for volunteers in Central West Region to be a part of the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) for Autism Ontario to sit on the following school boards:

Waterloo Catholic District School Board (representative only)
Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (representative only)

To meet the requirements, you must be over the age of 18; a Canadian citizen; reside within the school board’s jurisdiction and pay taxes to that school board; not be an employee of the school board; and not have been convicted of an indictable criminal offence.

Ancaster - 4-Week Sportball for Autistic Children 8-15

Location: Ryerson United Church, 265 Wilson St E, Ancaster, ON L9G 2B8
Dates: Thursdays, November 5 -November 26, 2026
Time: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Children ages 8-15 can sign up for our 4-week Sportball Program in Ancaster. Each session will explore a different sport using skill development and gaming experience. Equipment: Wear clean indoor shoes, gym clothes or basketball shorts. Bring water bottle for breaks. Note: Caregivers must remain on site.

Holiday Party with Santa in Hamilton

In partnership with Always Connected Treatment Network, families are invited to our holiday celebration in Hamilton for fun Christmas crafts, including cookie decorating, snowflake magnets and tree ornaments. We will learn some carols with Music4Life and there will be a special visit from Santa! At lunch time we will serve pizza and snacks.

We are 3 days away from the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Walk with QSM!

Join Qaiser Saghir Mayo (QSM) on Thanksgiving Day as he starts his walk from Toronto to Burlington.

Qaiser and friends will begin their walk on Monday morning at Toronto City Hall at 6:45 AM. Their journey will take approximately 60 kilometers and is estimated to arrive at 6:00PM at the City of Burlington Town Hall located at 426 Brant Street.
