Participate in research! The Type 1 Diabetes Exercise and Mentorship TEAM Trial is a research study that is testing a peer mentoring program aimed at increasing physical activity and quality of life, and decreasing diabetes-related distress in teenagers living with type 1 diabetes.

We're pleased to welcome Dr. Carina Venter as a speaker at CHRIM's 22nd Annual Child Health Research Days this October!

An internationally recognized allergy dietitian, Dr. Venter's research explores how early-life nutrition influences the infant microbiome, immune development, allergy risk, and lifelong health.

An Anishinaabe midwife and Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Midwifery, Dr. Lawford's work advances Indigenous-led, culturally grounded maternal and reproductive healthcare. Her session will explore how relationality, a foundational aspect of Indigeneity, can strengthen maternal and child healthcare and improve care for everyone.

A huge thank you to for donating $100,000 towards pediatric cancer research in Manitoba through the PROMISE theme, the only inter-institutional research framework in Manitoba dedicated to improving outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults living with cancer. PROMISE Co-Lead and CHRIM Investigator Dr. Cédric Tremblay was among those accepting the donation, and even got to participate in the handprint ceremony!
