📢 Missed the CCSG Research Award abstract deadline? There’s still time to present your work!

Abstract submissions for the BDA Research Symposium – Critical Care Stream are open until 4 August.

✔️ If you’ve already submitted an abstract for the CCSG Research Award, you don’t need to do anything – your abstract will automatically be considered for the BDA Research Symposium (unless you’ve opted out).

⏰ If you missed the CCSG Research Award deadline, you can still submit your abstract directly to the BDA Research Symposium.

This year follows a similar structure to last year, but the submission process has changed so make sure to read the instructions carefully.

We’re the FIREWORKS 🎇🤩😹- a team of volunteer dietitians from critical care units across the UK, supporting the critical care dietetics community alongside our day jobs, 🏥🤝bringing different skills, ideas and experience, and together we help keep things moving. ✨💪🏼

From shaping education and research to driving national collaboration, the Critical Care Specialist Group continues to champion excellence in ICU nutrition care.

⚡ Supporting critical care dietitians across the UK
⚡ Advancing evidence-based critical care nutrition
⚡ Building communities, education and innovation
⚡ Raising the profile of dietitians within the MDT

Last Dietitians Week in 2025, we as a specialist group made a pledge that we can revisit in 2036, on BDA‘s 100th anniversary. Let’s have a refresher: 🤩
