This week for Fun Fact Friday we are taking a look at Sugilite. Did you know that the first specimens were discovered in Japan all the way back in 1944? However, Sugilite was made famous when a large deposit of the crystal was found in the Wessels Mine in South Africa in 1981.

Enjoy the video everyone, and have a great weekend! ☺️ 💙

CrystalsnGems proudly presents...the most beautiful specimens you've ever seen!
Welcome to a special specimen edition of Star of the Post. Let's have a look to see who I chose this week for my personal top three.☺️

🥇In first place this week is the Fluorite and Muscovite on Black Tourmaline Schorl specimen...Theres nothin much to say, this piece is simply stunning!

🥈Coming in second place is the Smoky Quartz with Albite and Aegerine. In the past we've had specimens containing two crystals, but not three. 🤯🤯

🥉Lastly in third place is the iridescent Cluster Quartz specimen from South Africa...now that South Africa has been mentioned, I really want to visit that country again. 🇿🇦

That's all for this edition of Star of the Post, let us know which crystal is your favourite by commenting below. We'd love to hear from you! ❤️ As always simply fellow the link below to visit our website where you can view all of the other contenders. 👇💜

One last thing before I go, we are currently looking at rebooting our Facebook community that we started a long time ago. It's now called the Crystal Curiosity Club. This will be a place to talk about all your favourite crystals, amazing facts about our world, and connect with other like minded people.

See you all next time everyone. 👋😊

🚨STOP SCROLLING CRYSTAL LOVERS 🚨

Rather than doing a full Star of The Post, I thought I'd showcase one incredible crystal form the brand new items that have just come into our shop. ☺️💜 Todays showcase is this Uv reactive Kunzite and Hiddenite Skull. In true fun fact style, what makes Hiddenite and Kunzite so special?

First of all, Kunzite gets its colour from trace amounts of Manganese, an element that is crucial for bone formation and processing carbohydrates in the body. Hiddenite is much rarer than Kunzite, and it gets its green colour from trace amounts of Chromium. All this makes this particular skull very special, and with one click it could be yours forever! ☺️❤️

🏷️ : Kunzite
🌎 : Brazil
💷 : £95

Thats all for todays showcase everyone. Make sure you check our website on a daily basis because CrystalsnGems is always uploading high quality crystals to our website. ☺️

This week we will be learning all about the Macuahuitl...The weapon of choice for soldiers in the Aztec Empire...not only did they use Obsidian for weapons, Aztec priests in the empire used finely shaped obsidian blades for bloodletting rituals and human sacrifices, viewing the stone as a conduit between the mortal world and the divine. Who knew Obsidian had such a strong connection to the Aztecs!🤯🖤

See you all next Friday everyone for more amazing facts.☺️
