Our Easy Read Wales team has been working with Genomics Partnership Wales and Public Health Wales to develop an Easy Read version of their draft pathogen genomics delivery plan. Pathogen genomics means doing a study on germs to learn how they work and how to stop them.

They want to know what people think about the Easy Read document before they finalise it. You can read the draft plan and give your feedback on their website here (scroll down to the bottom of the webpage).

Children in Wales - Plant yng Nghymru is looking for young people to join their new advisory panel in partnership with Transport for Wales Trafnidiaeth Cymru. The aim of the the Young Persons Advisory Panel is to ensure that young people's voices are heard in decisions about the future of transport.

Panel members will have the opportunity to work directly with transport decision-makers, helping to shape services that are safe, accessible, sustainable and responsive to the needs of young people across Wales.

Voluntary organisations in Wales are being encouraged to take part in this year's Adult Learners' Week, which takes place from 21 to 27 September 2026.

Adult Learners’ Week is a festival of tasters, short courses, outreach, advice, guidance and inspirational stories. Voluntary organisations are being invited to signpost the people they work with to learning opportunities and support them to seek advice, by sharing your free activities and resources on the Adult Learners’ Week platform as part of the national campaign.

The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales/Ombwdsmon Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Cymru have published a consultation on their draft Equality Plan 2026-29.

The Ombudsman is seeking your views on the draft Equality Plan, which sets out how they will promote and support equality, diversity and inclusion in our complaints service, systemic improvement work and workplace between 2026 and 2029.

Deadline for comments is 24 September 2026. An Easy Read version, produced by the Easy Read Wales team at Learning Disability Wales, is also available.

We want to say a huge diolch yn fawr iawn to Wales & West Housing Group for providing funding to Gig Buddies Cymru over the next 3 years.

Our Gig Buddies project in Cardiff has received £30,000 of funding from Wales and West Housing. This will help us to match many more adults with a learning disability in Cardiff with a gig buddy volunteer who shares the same hobbies and interests.

We’re proud to be supporting Mencap Cymru and Learning Disability Wales as our 2026 Board charities.

They will receive £10,000 each from us over the next three years - and their first pot of funding has already been earmarked for two great projects which will help to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities in Wales.

Mencap Cymru will use the funds to develop a new sensory room at Bryn Siriol, a respite service in Aberystwyth.

For Learning Disability Wales, money will go towards supporting its Gig Buddies Cymru scheme in Cardiff.

Disability Sport Wales, Cardiff Met, and Swansea University have created a survey to ask disabled people across Wales if they volunteer in sport or physical activity, or would like to.

They want to make volunteering in sport more accessible for
disabled people.

They want to know what stops people getting involved. They want to hear about people's good experiences and help organisations make volunteering in sport more inclusive.
