The season might have wrapped months ago. The World Cup winners might be riding high. But the work doesn’t stop here.

For a lot of players, the off-season is where underlying issues finally get addressed - things that are managed during the rest of the year, but never fully resolved.

It’s also one of the few windows where there’s time to focus on strength development, correct imbalances and take a more detailed look at physical status.

That work often sets the foundation for what comes next.

How are you approaching this phase in your own environment?

Objective strength data plays an important role in how clinicians, researchers and performance teams assess strength, monitor progress and support decision-making.

Join Kikko Health on Thursday 30th July at 3pm ET / 8pm UK time for a practical HUMAC NORM webinar:

Objective Strength Data in Practice: Isokinetic Testing Across Sport, Healthcare and Research

The session will be led by Daniel Bodkin PT, DPT, ATC, Director of Clinical Education for CSMi and HUMAC NORM educator, and hosted by George Cater, Clinical Product Specialist at Kikko Health, and Helen Hopkins, Commercial Manager at Kikko Health.

Daniel will explore the practical application of isokinetic dynamometry across elite sport, clinical rehabilitation and research settings, including concentric and eccentric testing, rate of torque development, interpretation of results, HUMAC NORM report outputs and how objective strength data can support decision-making in practice.

The session will also incorporate testing videos alongside corresponding HUMAC NORM reports, helping bring the data and its application to life.

Isokinetics has moved on...

For teams who already trust it as part of their assessment and rehabilitation process, the focus is shifting towards how systems support day-to-day clinical use.

HUMAC NORM has been designed with that in mind:

22 movement patterns
4 resistance modes
One system designed to support full-body assessment

Alongside:
• A 20,000+ record normative database
• Adjustable setup for more efficient workflows
• Built-in flexibility across rehab and performance settings

It’s a natural next step for teams starting to think about what comes next after legacy systems.

Tournament football is a different environment entirely.

Short turnarounds, high intensity, different environments and limited time to recover mean the margin for error becomes much smaller.

In this context, understanding physical capacity is critical. Where a player is, what they can tolerate, and how that changes from game to game.

That’s where clarity becomes important. Not just having data, but being able to interpret it quickly and use it to support decisions under pressure.

As we're already seeing across this World Cup, those decisions are happening constantly, often with incomplete information and competing priorities.

It’s a reminder that performance at that level isn’t just about what happens on the pitch, but the quality of decision-making behind it.

How do you approach this in short-turnaround environments?

In performance environments, access to information is only part of the picture.

This carousel looks at how the Clarius range applies across performance settings.

If it’s something you’re exploring, we’re always happy to talk it through.

TECAR therapy is becoming an increasingly common part of rehabilitation and performance environments — but where does it actually fit in practice?

In our latest blog, we’ve explored:
• What TECAR therapy is
• How it supports rehabilitation and recovery
• Why clinicians are starting to integrate it into day-to-day practice
• Where systems like the Sixtus Tecnosix TCR150 fit into modern rehab pathways

We’ve also recently welcomed the first Tecnosix TCR150 demo unit into the UK, with opportunities now available for clubs, clinics and performance teams who would like to trial the system in their own environment.

There’s often a point where the conversation shifts from “what’s the best system?” to “what’s the most practical way to implement it?”

That’s where refurbished equipment can play a really valuable role.

For many private clinics and performance environments, it offers a way to access clinically trusted systems, expand capability, or introduce new approaches without the commitment of buying new.

At Kikko Health, all refurbished equipment is fully serviced, tested and prepared by our team before installation, ensuring it’s ready to perform in real-world settings.

It’s something we’re seeing increasing demand for across physiotherapy, rehabilitation and performance environments.

You can explore the current refurbished equipment available here:

We’re looking forward to an upcoming invite-only webinar on the 12th May at 6pm, delivered in collaboration with Speed Medical.

The session will be led by Marwan Al Dawoud, a highly respected sports medicine doctor specialising in diagnostic ultrasound with support from John Hartley.

The session will focus on the practical application of point-of-care ultrasound in MSK practice, including:

👉 The role of ultrasound in clinical decision-making
👉 Comparing ultrasound with MRI and X-ray across common MSK presentations
👉 The strengths and limitations of different ultrasound modalities
👉 Practical shoulder and knee scanning, including real clinical examples

The session will also incorporate Clarius-based scanning, bringing real-world application into the learning and helping bridge the gap between theory and practice.

A great opportunity to support continued ultrasound education within Speed Medical Examination Services clinical physiotherapy network!

The Kikko Health team have recently been on-site at Loughborough University, a globally recognised hub for sport, performance and research.

We’ve been supporting the recent installation of a HUMAC NORM by CSMi through hands-on training led by John Hartley, with input from Vice President of Sales & Marketing at CSMi Solutions, Rob Potash.

Isokinetic dynamometry continues to play a key role across elite sport and clinical rehabilitation, supporting evidence-based strength assessment, rehabilitation benchmarking and clinically informed return-to-play decision-making.

As with any system, the real value comes from how it’s applied. Time spent on training, interpretation and integration is what allows teams to get the most from the data.

We’re proud to support teams in embedding objective assessment into practice as the exclusive UK & Ireland partner for CSMi’s HUMAC NORM.
