Did you know that on the 12th May 2026 the condition known as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) has had an official name change to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS).

According to the website endocrinology.org, PMOS previously known as Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) impacts 1 in 8, or more than 170 million women worldwide.

PMOS is characterised by fluctuations in hormones, with impacts on weight, metabolic and mental health, skin, and the reproductive system.

For too long, the name reduced a complex, long term hormonal or endocrine disorder to a misunderstanding about ‘cysts’ and a focus on ovaries.

This contributed to missed diagnoses and inadequate treatment'.

I'm personally really pleased that this condition is now being recognised as a whole system disorder and not just one that boils down to cysts.

As someone who was diagnosed with this in my late teens it really is a lifelong condition that requires more than just managing pain and infertility. It's multifaceted and exhausting at times but hopefully this new recognition will help many women connect the dots with the symtoms they are experiencing.

And yesterday, I had the pleasure of welcoming 5 beautiful women who heard the call to birth their own shamanic drum alongside me. Expertly guided by Tracey through the most beautiful, precious experience of co - creation, opening to incoming spirit and following the knowing held deep within our being of what is ready to be created. A truly magical day of sisterhood that feels so aligned and true 🙏💗

I cant wait for our drums to dry, they will be ready for beltane and the scorpio full moon on friday ✨️ 🔥🌝
