After months of planning, we're delighted to be launching the Community Connection Café – Wheatley tomorrow and we'd love to welcome you along.

📅 Wednesday 11th June 🕐 1pm – 4pm 📍 Ukrainian Centre, 48 Beckett Road, Wheatley, DN2 4AD

Join us for a free tea or coffee, cake and friendly conversation as we celebrate the launch of this new weekly community café.

The Community Connection Café has been created to bring people together, reduce isolation, share information and help residents access local support in a welcoming and relaxed environment.

Whether you'd like to: ☕ Meet new people 💬 Enjoy a friendly chat 📋 Find out what support is available locally 🌱 Learn about upcoming workshops ❤️ Spend time with others in the community
..you'll receive a very warm welcome.

🌍 Interpreter support will also be available for Ukrainian and Latvian-speaking residents from 2pm, helping to ensure information and support are accessible to everyone.

We're committed to making the café as accessible and inclusive as possible. Interpreter support will be available for Ukrainian and Latvian-speaking residents during our regular weekly café sessions.

Come along for a free tea, coffee and cake, meet the team, discover our monthly workshops and find out how we can support you with:

🇬🇧☕🎶 Tea, Tunes & Togetherness – VE Day Celebration 🎶☕🇬🇧

What a wonderful afternoon spent at Town Moor House celebrating VE Day with residents and staff ❤️

We were delighted to serve approximately 25 residents who enjoyed homemade jam tarts, fresh scones and brownies alongside plenty of fresh tea and coffee.

Natalie & Neil were proud to support the fantastic care team in creating a warm and welcoming afternoon filled with conversation, music, smiles and memories shared across generations.

A beautiful celebration honouring VE Day and our elder generations 🇬🇧✨

Thank you to everyone at Town Moor House for having us... we loved being part of such a special afternoon 💛

What a wonderful 6 weeks of Tea, Tunes & Togetherness we've had ...

And it's our final day today... but we hope not forever

Due to the success of this project and it being so well received by the community, we are looking at a longer term solution to be here each week...

So stay tuned.

‼️IMPORTANT UPDATE‼️

After another wonderful (yet quiet) afternoon at Tea, Tunes & Togetherness...

We'll no longer be open on Tuesdays due to the low attendance on this day.

But it's OK... because our busier Wednesday sessions will carry on for the next few weeks.
