Welcome to our monthly maternity infographic, a snapshot of births and care across NHS Lothian. Each month we plan to share key numbers from our hospitals and birth settings, alongside a birth story and information about the support available to families. It is a way to show the scale and the care behind the work our maternity teams do every day.

We publish each month’s figures around three months later. This gives us time to check the numbers are accurate before we share them, so the data you see has been properly validated.
