A great day yesterday at the St John's Buildings Barristers'​ Chambers Amputee Seminar 2026, bringing together a fantastic mix of solicitors and barristers from both claimant and defendant sides across medical negligence and personal injury.

Collaboration like this is where real progress happens - sharing insight across clinical and legal disciplines to ultimately improve outcomes for people living with limb loss.

Our Clinical Director Alan McDougall presented on prosthetics, while Isabel Burke and Jack Cawood delivered a great session on prehabilitation, pre-amputation planning, and limb salvage orthotic solutions.

A particular highlight was hearing from Cassidy Little - ex Royal Marine Commando and ambassador for the Veterans Welfare Group - whose perspective added real depth to the day.

Yesterday we were proud to host our Patient-Crafted Care Seminar at our Godalming clinic - a day dedicated to sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and advancing patient outcomes.

From surgical innovation and patient-led rehabilitation through to sports prosthetics and hands-on workshops, the agenda reflected what truly matters: combining clinical expertise with real-world application to improve lives.

A big thank you to our guest speakers, including Mr Edmund Fitzgerald O'Connor from The London Limb Clinic, the team at Adaptive Motorhome Hire, as well as everyone who joined us on the day.

We were also delighted to announce the launch of Proactive Academy - our new complimentary training programme designed to support case managers, solicitors, insurers and clinicians with specialist insight into prosthetic and orthotic care.

With fantastic weather and a great atmosphere throughout, it was the perfect setting for learning, collaboration, and meaningful conversations.
