M had been on a diet since she was nine years old. her mum took her to weight watchers. nine years old, and already being told her body needed fixing :(
forty years later she came to me exhausted. not just physically - but mentally too. the constant starting over, the guilt, the feeling that everyone else could do this except her.
and she wasnt even sure she wanted to work with me - i could see the lack of trust (understandably!!)
BUT - she couldn’t have been more wrong!!
we didn’t overhaul everything at once. we went slowlyyyy, built small habits around her real busy life, had weeks where it felt hard and instead of quitting we just figured out why.
there was no meal plan she had to fight her way through. instead just - does this actually work for you?
(so many of us force routines, diets, habits that arent meant for us - what works for katie no kids and uni student does NOT apply for a mum with a big corporate job!!)

after forty years of being told her body was a problem to be solved - she likes herself a bit more.
