It was great starting back with clients tonight after a week of the herd having their physical check ups.

A bit delayed due to a late hay delivery, but we have to wait for the horses to say they are ready ☺️

Herd Maintenance Day 2 😁

Tuesday was sheath cleaning and today was the Dentist.

Chris Oliver has been Frostys dentist for years and now looks after the whole herd.

He is calm yet confident and allows them to move and stretch, giving them breaks as needed. They all behave beautifully with him.

I know how I'm very unkeen on Dentists, so I'm very proud of these guys.

See how the herd stays with Tiger when its his turn. To help him feel safe and supported. Olly and Coco are actually in the shelter behind him.

That's it for another 6 months. Bar monthly feet trims, physio appointments or any other health and well-being session.

I hope you enjoy the 'behind the scenes ' posts.

Get in touch to find out how this amazing herd can help with emotional and mental well-being.

A BIG Thank you from the EquineCoach herd!

A lovely lady from Mondays group talk donated carrots for the boys πŸ₯•

So here is a video of them enjoying the spoils ❀️

It is rather long, but there is a big thank you at the end πŸ™

Behind the scenes at EquineCoach.

There is a lot to consider to keep the EquineCoach herd in tip top health. Physically, emotionally and mentally.

Today was sheath cleaning day for the boys.

Yep! Those bits they cant keep clean themselves in domesticated circumstances πŸ™ˆ

6 month check for any nasties or 'beans' that can cause infection or worse!

And a good old scrub.

Frosty always loves this time of year πŸ˜†

I can't add pics and video to the same post so pics in comments of those I captured enjoying that intimate moment πŸ˜‰

And Thursday is the dentist.

Come meet the herd and enjoy a 'dip your toe' session over the summer. Message for more details.

Spreading the horses messages.

I was honored to be asked to speak to a group this evening about our work at EquineCoach.

Thank you so much for the invite.

I am so passionate about what the horses teach and the help they give us in an emotional and mental well-being capacity.

There was a mix of education, our story, the science behind what we do, why and how the horses help and a lot more, tossed in with a Q&A.

It was held via video call so everyone could still meet our wonderful herd.

If your organisation or group would like to know more about how we work and support clients, we are more than happy to arrange a face to face or video talk for you too.

That may be a business, a self help group, school or education facility or a local community venture.

Get in touch to find out more.

I then finished the evening watching the boys play in the rain πŸ₯°, they too are joyous to have some relief from the recent heatwave!

Day off.

A day off for me and the herd today.

I had an unexpected snooze on the track with Frosty and Coco 😁

Lots of shelter time from the sun and rest.

Even on their day off the horses provide a lesson, should we choose to observe and take note.

Rest, stop, breathe and recharge our mind, body and spirit.

Mind, heart, body.

Ive been attending several more masterclasses over the last month as part of my continuous learning in the emotional well-being Somatic space.

An interesting line in one that although I knew, the way it was phrased really stuck, and has with several clients this week too.

The Mind will always lie to you.
The Heart will often lie to you.
The only truth comes from the Gut.

All the work we do is about rebalancing our 3 'brains'. Mind, Heart and gut.

Somatic work can also relate to the mind, it is part of our body after all.

Working through excersises with the support of the horses is just part of it though.

We sometimes just go with the flow, if the horses tell us there is something specific that is needed that day.

Today was one of those days. A message of working on our inner authentic self and judgement. Its a good job I have tools and excersises up my sleeve for most occasions as I certainly had to pull that one out the bag today 😁. Thank you Frosty ❀️

Its always right when we go with what the horses showed us, they know best. Our client had a wonderful session and the whole herd were in attendance and providing that very special support they save for the important things.

In today's society and chaotic world, we tend to spend too much time in our mind. Overthinking, over analysing and that negative narrative.
We spend our time in task mode, planning, always on the go.

Rebalancing can improve our lives considerably.

Get back to nature, reconnect with the nervous system, stop and breathe and turn off that mind. Learn how from the herd at EquineCoach.

Just as long as you bring apples or carrots πŸ₯• πŸ˜‰

We’ve recently taken in several young horses and ponies who desperately needed a safe place to land. πŸ’”πŸ΄
While we never want to turn our backs on animals in need, every new arrival means more hay, feed, bedding, farrier visits and ever-growing vet bills.

Many of these youngsters arrive needing extra care, assessments, vaccinations, worming and ongoing rehabilitation before they can begin their new chapter with us. Some require around-the-clock monitoring and specialist treatment.

As a small rescue, we rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters to keep going. Every donation, no matter how small, truly helps us continue providing the care these horses deserve.

If you would like to support the youngsters currently in our care, donations can be made using the details below. Your support helps fill feed buckets, cover vet treatments and give these horses the future they deserve. ❀️

Thank you for standing by us and helping us continue this work β€” we couldn’t do it without you.

How we can learn to change our emotional energy.

This week I have had a couple of clients whose emotions can get the better of them. React, regret.

A session with our Frosty helped a client understand how we can feel an emotion state and be empowered to change it before we react.

The horses simply show you how to be.

We had taught previous steps of present moment and accessing the felt sense. This next session was building on that to understand the sensations we feel related to different emotions.

When emotion strikes, we revert to responding from our lymphatic part of our brain, reasoning via our analytical mind is over ridden.

Frosty clearly showed our client when they needed to make a change to their emotional energy. He did this by being connected to me in the present first, when our client was asked to swap places with me, Frosty gently moved away.
We helped the client feel their emotion and guided through the change. Frosty then happily engaged.

The client understand they were empowered to make changes and had the tools to do so. Frosty then confirmed the changes they made were effective.

Just an example of how our herd can show the way and support us.

The more we learn to feel the quicker we can become aware of emotion building. We can then simply decide to change it. No reaction, no regret.

Take back your power and learn from the horses.

They know best 😁
