‼️👉 Step-by-Step: What Happens During a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Session 👌⁉️

✅️ 1. Medical Assessment and Preparation

Before the first session, a medical consultation is conducted.
The healthcare provider checks for any contraindications, such as untreated pneumothorax, certain lung diseases, or ear and sinus infections.
Electronic devices, oil-based cosmetics, and flammable materials are generally not allowed inside the chamber.

✅️ 2. Entering the Chamber

The patient takes a position inside the chamber:
In a monoplace (single-person) chamber, the patient usually lies on a special bed or mattress.
In a multiplace (multi-person) chamber, the patient sits or lies down while oxygen is delivered through a mask or hood.

✅️ 3. Pressurization (Compression)

The operator gradually increases the pressure inside the chamber.
This process typically takes 10–15 minutes.
During this time, patients may experience a sensation of ear fullness similar to what is felt during airplane takeoff.

To equalize ear pressure, patients may:

- swallow,
- yawn,
- chew gum,
- move their jaw,
- perform the Valsalva maneuver (gently exhaling while pinching the nose and keeping the mouth closed).

✅️ 4. Treatment Phase

Once the target pressure is reached (typically between 1.3 and 2.0 ATA in wellness and regenerative applications, with higher pressures used for certain medical treatments), the therapy phase begins.
The patient breathes high-concentration oxygen, usually close to 100%, through an appropriately fitted oxygen mask or hood.

During the session, patients can typically:

- relax,
- listen to staff instructions,
- read a book or magazine,
- in some chambers, watch movies or listen to music.

✅️ 5. Depressurization

At the end of the session, the pressure is gradually reduced back to normal atmospheric pressure.
This process usually takes 5–10 minutes.
Patients may again experience pressure changes in their ears.

✅️ 6. Exiting the Chamber

Once the pressure has fully equalized, the chamber is opened.
Patients leave the chamber and can usually return to their normal daily activities unless otherwise advised by their healthcare provider.
Some individuals may experience temporary fatigue, drowsiness, or mild lightheadedness, but these effects generally resolve quickly.

‼️👉 How Long Does a Session Last ⁉️

A typical session lasts between 60 and 120 minutes.

Depending on the condition being treated, a treatment plan may include approximately 20–40 sessions or more.

‼️👉 What Happens in the Body 🤔⁉️

Under increased atmospheric pressure, the blood is able to dissolve and carry significantly more oxygen than under normal conditions. As a result, oxygen can reach tissues more effectively, including areas with reduced blood supply.

HBOT may:

- support wound healing,
- reduce swelling and inflammation,
- promote the formation of new blood vessels,
- stimulate the body's natural regenerative processes,
- support the mobilization and activity of progenitor cells and stem cells involved in tissue repair.

It is important to note that the benefits of HBOT are not solely related to increased stem cell activity. The primary effect of the therapy is enhanced oxygen delivery to tissues, which supports the body's natural healing and recovery mechanisms.

‼️‼️👉 Hydrogen Water vs. Hydrogen Gas Inhalation: What’s the Real Difference? 💧💨

Ever wondered if you should be drinking your hydrogen or breathing it?❓️Why the difference⁉️

It all comes down to dosage, absorption pathways, and tissue targeting.

💧 1. Drinking Hydrogen - Infused Water❓️

When you drink hydrogen water, the H2 gas is dissolved in liquid.
✅️ How it works: It enters your body through the digestive tract.
✅️ Best for: Rapidly targeting the gut, liver, and metabolic systems. It’s fantastic for everyday antioxidant support, reducing oxidative stress in the GI tract, and quick hydration.
✅️ The Limit: Water can only hold so much hydrogen gas before it saturates (usually around 1.6 to 3.0 ppm). You get a highly beneficial, but lower overall dose.

💨 2. Inhaling 3:1 Hydrogen/Oxygen Gas❓️

When you inhale hydrogen gas through a nasal cannula, you bypass the digestive system entirely.
✅️ How it works: The gas enters the lungs and immediately diffuses into the bloodstream, traveling directly to the heart, brain, and nervous system.
✅️ The 3:1 Ratio Advantage: Inhaling pure hydrogen can sometimes be a safety hazard or limit oxygen intake. A 3:1 ratio (typically 75% Hydrogen and 25% Oxygen) ensures that your cells are flooded with therapeutic H2 while simultaneously optimizing cellular oxygenation.
✅️ The Powerhouse Difference: A 30-minute inhalation session can deliver more molecular hydrogen to your organs than drinking dozens of bottles of hydrogen water. It’s a systemic, heavy-hitting therapy perfect for deep cellular repair, brain fog, and intense athletic recovery.

The Verdict:
💧 Think of Hydrogen Water as your daily maintenance—convenient, great for the gut, and perfect on the go.

🌬 Think of Hydrogen Inhalation (3:1) as your high-dose, deep-recovery therapy for the brain and entire vascular system. 👌

‼️🫧 HBOT stands for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy — a treatment where you breathe nearly pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The higher pressure allows your blood to carry much more oxygen to tissues, which can support healing and reduce certain types of injury or inflammation. 👍‼️

‼️👉General Benefits of HBOT 👌‼️

✅️ Improves wound healing - especially for diabetic foot ulcers, radiation injuries, burns, and non-healing wounds.

✅️ Helps stimulate new blood vessel growth and tissue repair.

✅️ Brain recovery / cognitive function - research is exploring HBOT for traumatic brain injury, stroke recovery, long COVID, and neuroplasticity.

✅️ Reduced inflammation - HBOT may lower inflammatory responses and oxidative stress in some conditions.

✅️ Sports recovery & rehabilitation - some benefit seen in post-surgical recovery and chronic pain conditions, and improve routine athletic recovery.

✅️ Healthy aging / wellness - some studies suggest effects on cellular aging markers and mitochondrial function, increases energy levels.

✅️ Treats carbon monoxide poisoning - HBOT rapidly increases oxygen delivery and helps remove carbon monoxide from the body.

✅️ Treats decompression sickness (“the bends”) - common in scuba diving accidents. HBOT is a standard emergency treatment.

✅️ Helps fight certain severe infections - such as necrotizing soft tissue infections or gangrene by improving oxygen delivery to infected tissue.

✅️ Supports healing after radiation therapy - can help damaged tissue recover after radiation treatments.

‼️👉 PROBLEM WITH SLEEPING ?? TRY HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY HBOT in our studio O2 HYPER HEALTH in Rugby 👍‼️

Sleep is where healing happens. It’s when the brain resets, tissues repair, and the nervous system recalibrates. Yet for many people, sleep doesn’t feel restorative - falling asleep is difficult, nights are fragmented, and mornings still feel heavy with fatigue.

HBOT involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized environment, allowing oxygen to reach areas of the body that may be inflamed, stressed, or under-oxygenated. This enhanced oxygen delivery supports cellular repair, circulation, and nervous system regulation - processes that are closely tied to how well we sleep.

HBOT may be particularly supportive for individuals whose sleep struggles are linked to chronic inflammation, pain, post-concussion symptoms, high stress, intense training, injury recovery, or long-standing fatigue. In these situations, improving recovery efficiency can make sleep more effective, even if total sleep time doesn’t change immediately.

If your sleep feels unrefreshing because your body is stuck in a constant state of stress or recovery, hyperbaric oxygen therapy may offer supportive benefits. By helping the body repair more efficiently, HBOT may make it easier for sleep to do what it’s meant to do - restore, reset, and prepare you for the day ahead. 😴

‼️🫧 HBOT and Brain Health 🧠

HBOT involves breathing nearly 100% oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The idea is that higher oxygen delivery may help injured or metabolically stressed brain tissue recover by improving oxygen availability, reducing inflammation, and supporting repair processes.

Where the evidence is strongest

HBOT is an established medical treatment for conditions such as decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, and certain wound-healing problems. In carbon monoxide poisoning, part of the benefit is protecting the brain from ongoing injury.

Brain injury and cognitive recovery

The most studied brain-health application is traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Recent systematic reviews and meta-analyses have found that HBOT may improve:

Memory

Attention

Executive function (planning, decision-making)

Processing speed

General cognitive performance

However, the evidence base is still relatively small, and researchers continue to call for larger, better-standardized clinical trials before firm conclusions can be made.

Stroke recovery

HBOT for stroke remains more controversial.

Some small studies suggest potential benefits in selected patients, particularly during rehabilitation, but reviews generally conclude that evidence is inconsistent and insufficient to recommend it as a routine stroke treatment.

Cognitive enhancement, aging, and dementia

There is growing interest in whether HBOT can:

Improve age-related cognitive decline

Support brain plasticity

Enhance memory or attention in otherwise healthy adults

Some early studies report promising findings, but the overall evidence is not yet strong enough to consider HBOT a proven anti-aging or cognitive-enhancement therapy. Most major neurological guidelines do not currently recommend it for healthy brain optimization.

For brain health, HBOT is most promising for certain forms of brain injury, particularly TBI, where there is emerging evidence of cognitive benefits. For stroke recovery, dementia, brain fog, and general cognitive enhancement, the science is still evolving and remains less definitive.

If you're considering HBOT for a specific issue—such as concussion, long COVID brain fog, stroke recovery, memory decline, or athletic performance—I can explain what the current evidence says for that particular condition.

‼️👉 Have you been wondering if Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) might help you lose weight?👍

Hyperbaric delivers a high amount of oxygen to your system which allows you to be able to oxidize your fuel much more efficiently than you would without the extra oxygen.

As you get more oxygen, your capacity to burn fat instead of burning sugar is much higher.

I would not recommend using HBOT alone specifically for weight loss. I would absolutely recommend, of course, having a healthy diet and using HBOT as an adjunctive therapy to push fat burning.

HBOT can help in your metabolism, which is going to help hormone regulation, It can also help your detoxification process, and healing and regenerating all the things that your body needs to. You'll also get more energy by becoming more efficient.
