Here are the four signs:

1. Your tolerance has quietly shot up. That single glass of wine you used to pour to unwind no longer works. You now need a lot more to take the edge off your stressful day.

2. You downplay your habit or hide the evidence. Normal drinkers don't keep secrets about their beverages. If you find yourself quietly hiding empty bottles in the recycling bin, that's a sign.

3. You are trapped in exhausting "moderation math." You spend a LOT of mental energy constantly negotiating with yourself. You go through your day asking: "Should I drink today? How many? When do I stop?"

4. You get instantly defensive if anyone brings it up. If a partner or friend gently mentions your drinking habits and you immediately snap, that's a red flag. Normal drinkers don't feel threatened when someone observes their drinking.

If you relate to these, then I'm here to tell you: change is possible. Click the link in my bio to learn how you can use neuroscience to get your power back.

I looked successful on the outside: I wore fancy suits, showed up to work every morning, and had a great job.

But behind the successful career, every time I drank, I drank far more than I planned.

If you want to learn my strategies for finally reducing my drinking, give me a follow.

4 signs your drinking is becoming a more serious than you realize…

1. Drinking stopped being reserved for weekends. Somewhere along the way, random weeknights became “close enough.”

2. Every emotion now feels tied to alcohol. Stress becomes a reason to drink. Celebration becomes a reason to drink. There’s always a justification.

3. You stay awake after everyone else is asleep, pretending you’re finishing work or watching one more episode, when really you just want to drink alone without anyone noticing how much.

4. You wake up anxious, trying to piece together the night before. The first thing you do is check your texts, calls, and social media to make sure nothing went wrong.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone. Click the link in bio to learn how to start drinking less without feeling deprived.

There are 4 subtle signs that alcohol is playing a bigger and more severe role in your life than you think. And they’re not the obvious ones…

1. Drinking has started showing up on nights that used to be alcohol-free. What began as a weekend habit has gradually worked its way into your weekly routine.
2. No matter what kind of day you’ve had, there always seems to be a reason for a drink. Bad day? You deserve one. Great day? Time to celebrate.
3. You regularly stay up later than everyone else. Maybe you tell yourself you’re finishing work or watching one more show, but really, you’re enjoying the extra time to keep drinking.
4. You wake up feeling anxious about the night before. Before you even get out of bed, you’re checking your messages, emails, or call history to make sure nothing happened that you regret.

If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone. Click the link in my bio to learn how to reduce your drinking without relying on willpower alone.

If you've ever wondered why you can't just "stop after one," here's the answer:

For your dependent subconscious brain, the first drink triggers an intense craving response that overrides your sober decisions.

There are 4 signs your drinking may be a bigger issue than you think, and they’re not always obvious:

1. Alcohol has worked its way into your week. What used to be something you only did on weekends is now becoming part of an ordinary Tuesday or Wednesday.

2. You can always find a reason to drink. Tough day? You deserve it. Great day? You should celebrate. No matter what happens, alcohol seems to be the solution.

3. You regularly stay up long after everyone else has gone to bed. You tell yourself you’re finishing work or watching TV, but the real reason is that you want more time alone with a drink.

4. You wake up feeling anxious and immediately start checking your phone. You scroll through texts, emails, or your call history, hoping you didn’t say or do something you’ll regret.

If any of these sound familiar, you’re not the only one. Check the link in my bio to learn how to reduce your drinking without relying on willpower.

You don't have to hit rock bottom to want to change your drinking.

If alcohol has become your off switch after a stressful work day, that's not a willpower problem. That's your subconscious keeping you stuck.

There are 4 major warning signs that alcohol may be taking up more space in your life than you realize and they’re probably not the ones you expect.

1. Drinking has started creeping into nights that never used to involve alcohol. What was once reserved for weekends has slowly become part of your regular weekday routine.
2. Every situation seems to come with a reason to pour a drink. A stressful day calls for a reward. A great day calls for a celebration. Either way, alcohol ends up being the answer.
3. You find yourself staying awake long after everyone else has gone to sleep. You tell yourself you’re catching up on work or watching one more episode, but deep down, you just want uninterrupted time to keep drinking.
4. You wake up feeling uneasy, trying to piece together what happened the night before. One of the first things you do is check your texts, emails, or call log to make sure nothing went wrong.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re far from alone. Change is possible. Click the link in my bio to learn how to cut back on drinking in a way that actually lasts.
