From building planters to spreading soil 🌱 yesterday at One Fylde we launched our One Fylde in Bloom summer project!

Teams across the organisation will be competing to grow the best-looking planters over summer🌼

☕💛 “It’s inspirational” Hearing Tracey talk about what the café means to her says it all - building confidence, learning new skills and being part of something special 📣

We’ve been nominated for the Benefact Group £5,000 grant, and we need your help!

If successful, we can create a fully wheelchair-accessible outdoor seating area at our community café 🌿✨This will mean more space for customers, community groups, workshops and social activities - opening new opportunities and making sure everyone feels welcome and included (and we can finally enjoy the sunshine too ☀️)

Every nomination strengthens our chance of being selected, and if chosen we plan to use the money to renovate the outdoor space of our community cafe in time for Summer.
By making the garden fully wheelchair accessible, we can ensure everyone feels welcome and included. An improved layout will also increase capacity, allowing us to host more visitors, community groups, workshops and social activities in a relaxed, open-air environment. And of course, we’ll finally be able to make the most of the glorious sunshine when it decides to appear ☀️

We were incredibly proud to take part in the Health@Lancaster Collaboration Café at Lancaster University Health Innovation Campus, sharing the story behind our award-winning community radio station, Tune Ability. 💛

Our presenters Marilyn & Rebecca truly captivated the room as they spoke LIVE about their journeys and experiences. Watching their confidence shine was a powerful reminder of just how far they’ve come since first stepping behind the mic.

The transformation we’ve seen through the radio station is nothing short of astounding; and it’s a real testament to the patience, belief and support Darren and Nigel give every single day. Seeing the pride on their faces as their protégés took centre stage gave us all goosebumps and that bubbling feeling of joy that reminds you why this work matters so much.

Thank you to everyone who came along to listen, learn and celebrate inclusive broadcasting with us 👏
