We are working with Emma Hughes of Parkinson's UK North West Team to explore whether there is a need for additional physical activity opportunities for people living with Parkinson’s in Nantwich and the surrounding rural area.
We are currently carrying out a short questionnaire to help us establish whether there is sufficient local demand for new provision to make a potential funding application worthwhile. We want to understand people’s current experiences of physical activity, what makes it easier or harder to take part, what kinds of activities they might be interested in, and what would make participation more accessible.
We would be very grateful if you could share the questionnaire with anyone living with Parkinson’s who you feel might be interested in contributing.
The questionnaire takes around five minutes to complete and is voluntary. It does not ask for names or email addresses, and responses will be considered anonymously.
Complete the questionnaire here:

We are particularly keen to hear from people who are currently not taking part in regular physical activity, as understanding the barriers they face is an important part of establishing whether and how new provision could reach those who might benefit from it.
The findings will form part of a feasibility study and, if there is sufficient evidence of need and demand, will help inform a potential application to the Parkinson’s UK funding programme.
There are also "Keep me informed" links on the webpage and in the comments below for anyone who would like to receive occasional updates as the feasibility study progresses. These are open to both people living with Parkinson’s and professionals, organisations or others who are interested in the development of local provision.
Your support in helping us reach people who may benefit would be greatly appreciated. The more representative the responses, the better we can understand what would - and wouldn't - work locally.
Thank you for helping us explore what might be possible.
