Luna was so relaxed during her groom today that she drifted off to sleep whilst listening to classical music.

Apparently I had too much time on my hands...

Meet Luna’s new best friend.🐾💓😂

What should we call her?

Does anyone else play music for their dogs?

Luna hates bangs so I have classical music playing in the background as it helps create a calm, relaxing environment. Research has shown that many dogs find classical music soothing, helping them to settle and relax - I’m also enjoying our new playlist too!

And because no grooming session should go to waste...

I always make Luna a little friend out of her own fur! Mostly for my entertainment!

Best get on with my jobs!

Happy Friday much love Dawn and Luna💓🐾

our skin is incredibly intelligent and most of you already know as I whittle on about this through my education in my treatment room but here’s a run down...
The moment UV hits your skin, it activates a defence process called melanogenesis
producing melanin to try and protect your skin cells from damage.
Did you know that one activated Melanin cell protects between 30-40 of your skin cells after it’s climbed up those tiny “arms” (dendrites) to deliver pigment to surrounding cells, forming a protective shield over your DNA. A little bit like an umbrella of love for your skin cells.
It’s an amazing system.
But here’s the reality...
It’s not enough on its own.

With repeated UV exposure, this process becomes overwhelmed - leading to:
* Pigmentation
* Uneven skin tone
* Premature ageing
* Long-term skin damage
This is why I always say:
SPF isn’t optional...
it’s essential.
And it’s not just about applying it once...
It’s about daily consistency and protecting your skin long-term 365 days of the year.
If you’re unsure what’s right for your skin & need advice please message me & I’ll guide you personally either via FaceTime or an in house consultation

My Mom…my favourite thing!

Sometimes we just need a reset and I did exactly that this weekend with my world. I feel so lucky & never take it for granted that I still have my mum to go to everyday for her wise, calming & encouraging words.

I feel so blessed and lucky to build memories like this! What’s your favourite memory of your mum?

If your mum is no longer with us, let’s book you some time out and we can talk, laugh, cry and reminisce over your dearest mum who bought you into the world!

We never forget those you have lost here at Regent’s Park. You can even take time out in our little chapel for a moment of peace & reflection.

If you no longer see or have your mum in your life let me give you some love and tuck you up in my cosy weighted blanket and be your second mum! 💓

Book in soon🤗

Sending love to those that need a Mumma hug🤗💓🌸xx

Spring skin changes aren’t always about dryness…

At this time of year, I often see an increase in itchy, reactive skin especially on the arms, legs, neck.& hands.

In many cases, this is linked to UVA exposure, which penetrates deeper into the skin and can trigger inflammation and nerve sensitivity… even without visible redness.

This is why antihistamines don’t always give relief, and why quick fixes don’t last.

Here’s a few tips to stop that pesky itch…

The focus should always be on protecting and repairing the skin, not over-treating it:

• Daily broad-spectrum SPF (UVA protection is key)
•Strengthening the skin barrier
• Reducing inflammation
•Avoiding unnecessary actives during flare-ups

WHAT I RECOMMEND FOR HOME USE
(link in bio)

When skin is reactive, I keep it simple, consistent and results-driven:

• Dermalogica UltraCalming Cleanser – gentle cleansing without disruption
• Dermalogica Circular Hydration Serum – supports ongoing hydration within the skin
• Dermalogica Stabilizing Repair Cream – strengthens and restores the barrier
• Dermalogica Invisible Physical Defense SPF 30 a lightweight daily UV protection

These are not about trends they’re about supporting the skin so it can function properly again.

If your skin feels itchy, reactive or “not quite right”…
Please do not ignore it.
The earlier we calm and support it, the easier it is to manage long-term.
I can give relief with a pro calm treatment and lots of extra advice in house. Let’s calm your skin so you can enjoy this beautiful weather!

The words you love to hear!

Stress is complex, but reducing the physical symptoms of it can be as simple as breathing in and out. When you’re stressed your breathing is rapid and shallow. When you’re relaxed, you breathe well, taking longer, slower breaths.

But your breathing isn’t just a reflection of your mental state…
it can actively change that state, too.

Mimicking relaxed breathing tricks the body

Mimicking relaxed breathing tricks the body into thinking you actually are relaxed. What’s more, drawing long slow breaths for 60 seconds is enough to rid the bloodstream of the stress hormone cortisol entirely.

Does that mean you have to learn to breathe well? Not quite. You were born with the ability to breathe like this. You might just need to remember it.

Have you ever seen a baby breathing? She inhales through her nose, and fills her belly with breath. Then she exhales through her nose for longer than the length of her inhale. There’s a reason for this. Nose hairs filter the air, making the nose the best breathing organ. And a long exhale stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes rest and digestion.

Let’s work on that. The first step is to pay attention to your breathing in different contexts. Get to know your breathing. It’s as unique as you are! When you know your breathing, you can learn to recognize the onset of stress and anxiety and calm yourself before your body and mind hit the panic button.

So how can you breathe like a baby again?

Breathe in and out through your nose. Fill your belly and diaphragm with each breath. This will help center you and give you a sense of calm.
Save my video for when you need a moment of calm and further more come and see me to get a full top to toe rebalance and step completely off the world for a few hours!

Remember to breathe
Much love your skin Expert Dawn x

Most people are damaging their skin barrier daily… without realising.

After 35+ years of treating skin, these are the little things that make the biggest difference…
the ones nobody talks about 👇

• Heat in your car is ageing your skin
That constant warm air blowing on your face?
It’s quietly dehydrating your skin every single day

• Your shower could be your biggest mistake
Hot water strips your natural oils
leaving your skin barrier reactive & irritated

• Plug-ins & diffusers aren’t as “harmless” as they seem
They release airborne fragrance particles
which can sensitise your skin over time. I see this all the time.

• Makeup wipes = barrier damage
They don’t cleanse properly!
they drag, irritate, and leave residue behind

•A “base tan” is NOT protection
It’s around SPF 3–4 at best
and contributes massively to premature ageing & worse…
Those skin cancers I all too often find :(

• Lime + sun = lime induced Phytophotodermatitis
That holiday margarita dripping down your chin?
can cause long-lasting irritation + dark marks

• Your skin’s microbiome is personal
Sharing brushes or using dirty tools
spreads bacteria straight onto your skin

• Overdoing skincare is just as bad as underdoing it
Too many actives = compromised barrier
more breakouts, sensitivity, inflammation

•Prickly heat tip most people don’t know
A physical SPF is often better tolerated
especially if your skin reacts in the heat

The healthiest skin I see isn’t complicated…
It’s consistent, protected, and respected 🤍

Most people wait until they see ageing…

But here’s the truth & it happened to me so here I am again giving you my warning…

Collagen loss starts in your mid 20s and dehydration is often the first sign your skin is struggling.

This is where collagen banking comes in 💧

Using the right products early helps:

•Support collagen before it breaks down

•Keeps skin plump + hydrated

•Helps Strengthen the barrier function of your skin (this is the first thing I do when you start as a new client)

I’ve been using Collagen Banking Water Cream and the difference in hydration alone is noticeable on my 53 year old skin…but the real magic is when you start early & do it long term.

This isn’t about chasing wrinkles.
It’s about preventing them!

I wish I’d started in my twenties but honestly it’s never too late!

✨ If your skin feels tight, dull or dehydrated, this is definitely your sign to get started.

If you’re stuck in this minefield of not knowing what to use Message me & we can work it out together & find you a personalised routine to suit your time & budget!

Save this so you don’t forget🤗

Men’s skin:

• Is thicker
• Produces more sebum
• Ages differently
• Responds incredibly well to collagen stimulation

Yet so many men neglect professional treatments.

Clive is proof that consistent skin care isn’t vanity it’s maintenance.
REAL SKIN. REAL CONSISTENCY. REAL RESULTS.

Last night Clive came in for one of his regular advanced skin treatments.

We began with a double cleanse and professional skin analysis before progressing to a bespoke protocol:

• Pro Plump Peel
• Radio Frequency
• Ultrasonic Lifting
• Pro Sculpt Massage
• Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Layering & Red LED pro masque
• Red LED Therapy
• Facial Cupping
• Micro-Lift Treatment
• Dermal layering

Finished with Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque to seal in hydration and optimise recovery. He also purchased Phyto Nature E2 to keep my skin health results flowing beyond the treatment room.

This morning?
His skin is hydrated. Sculpted. Luminous. Ready for a weekend of rugby and love with his wife & babies❤️

This is what happens when you respect skin physiology and build results over time.

Consistency is everything.

If you’re ready for advanced, prescriptive skin therapy —
I would love to see you.
Keep cosy
