When you train, you push your body. And sometimes your body pushes back.

Back pain from deadlifts. Shoulder niggles from pressing. Hip tightness that builds over weeks until it affects everything. These are not signs you need to stop. They are signs you need someone who understands how you train and knows how to get you back to it.

Sol has been coming to see me since the very first week I opened. Every time something flares up we work through it together and he gets back in the gym. That is what this is about.

If you lift, train or play sport and you have been managing something that keeps coming back, that is exactly what the initial assessment is for.

No GP referral needed. Most patients seen within the week. Initial assessment £60.

The NHS is one of the most important things this country has. But waiting months for help with back pain, sciatica, neck pain or a musculoskeletal injury is genuinely hard when that pain is affecting your sleep, your work and your daily life every single day.

This is not a criticism. It is a reminder that there is another pathway.

Osteopaths are degree-qualified, GOsC registered practitioners trained specifically in musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment. That is our entire focus. Not a five minute GP appointment where MSK is one of fifty things on the list. A proper, dedicated assessment with time to understand what is causing your pain and a clear plan to address it.

You do not need a GP referral to see an osteopath. You can book directly, be seen within the week and leave with answers

If you have been sitting on a waiting list and your pain is not getting better, you do not have to keep waiting.

Three months ago I opened the doors at Osteopath Redditch not knowing what to expect.

Here are three things this journey has taught me so far.

Community matters more than marketing. The support from local people, the word of mouth, the kind reviews, none of that came from an advert. It came from people genuinely feeling heard and helped.

Trust is earned one appointment at a time. Every single person who books with me is placing their confidence in someone they have never met. I never take that lightly.

Building something worthwhile takes patience. The diary is not always full. Some weeks are quieter than others. But the foundations being built right now are the ones that will last.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Osteopath Redditch in these first three months. You are the reason this exists.

When a Pilates instructor trusts you with their body, that means something.

Nicola first came to see me around a year ago with SI joint dysfunction. She got better, got back to training, and got on with life. Then a muscle strain flared it up again six weeks ago and she came straight back.

That is the bit that matters most to me. Not just that the treatment worked the first time, but that when something went wrong again, she knew exactly where to come.

She is now coming in every few weeks for maintenance, staying on top of things and preventing further flare-ups before they happen. As someone who works in movement and fitness herself, she understands the value of that approach better than most.

This is what osteopathy should look like. Not just fixing the problem and sending you on your way. Giving you the understanding, the exercises and the support to manage your own health with confidence.

If you have been dealing with something that keeps coming back, that is exactly what the initial assessment is for.

This is your nervous system.

Every single white strand you can see is a nerve. From your brain, down your spinal cord, out to your fingertips and all the way to your toes. One completely connected system controlling everything you do.

So when your back aches, your leg burns, or your neck pain travels into your shoulder, it is rarely just about the place where you feel it. The signal travels through this system. The cause is often somewhere else entirely.

This is why as an osteopath I look at the whole picture, not just the painful area. How you move, where the restriction is, what is overloaded, and what that is doing to the structures around it.
Pain is not the problem. It is the signal.

If you have been dealing with pain that nobody has properly explained, that is exactly what the initial assessment is for. No GP referral needed. Most patients seen within the week.

Three months ago Osteopath Redditch opened its doors at Faraday Business Centre. The focus was simple. See patients properly, get results, and build something worth being proud of.

21 five star Google reviews later, it felt like the right time for the website to reflect the same standard.

The new site is live now at osteopathredditch.co.uk. Cleaner, faster, and built properly for the people we work with. Active people. People dealing with back pain, sciatica, neck pain, sports injuries, and everything in between. People who want answers, not just appointments.

The care has not changed. The online experience just caught up with it.

And this is genuinely just the beginning. Photography is coming. More content is coming. The clinic keeps evolving and so does everything around it.

If you have not visited the site in a while, go and have a look. And if you know someone who has been putting off getting help, send them our way. New patients are welcome and most people are seen within the week.

Tanya had been living with chronic back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and elbow pain for over a year.

She had tried other treatments. She had looked for relief in other places. Nothing gave her anything more than temporary results.

When she came to see me she was not just in pain. She was exhausted from managing it.

Within two days of her first session her neck had improved and her shoulder pain was completely gone. By her third visit her back pain had eased significantly. She told me she now feels empowered to maintain her own health.

That is exactly what osteopathy should do. Not just treat the symptom in the room. Give you the tools to stay well when you leave it.

If you have been struggling with pain that keeps coming back, that nobody has properly explained, that you have tried to manage on your own for too long, you do not have to keep doing that.

A thorough assessment. A clear explanation. A plan built around you.

You know that feeling.

You shift position and it fires. A shooting, burning pain that starts in your lower back and travels down through your buttock and into your leg. Sometimes it is a dull ache. Sometimes it is electric.

Sometimes it stops you mid-step.

That is your sciatic nerve telling you something is wrong.
Sciatica is one of the most common conditions I see and one of the most mismanaged. People are told to rest. To take ibuprofen. To wait and see. And so they wait. Sometimes for months. Sometimes for years.

Rest alone rarely resolves sciatica. What resolves it is understanding exactly where the nerve is being irritated, why it is happening and putting the right plan in place to address it properly.
That is what the initial assessment is for. A thorough examination of how you are moving, where the restriction is coming from and what needs to happen next. No guesswork. No generic advice. A clear explanation and a plan built around you.

Most patients are seen within the week. No GP referral needed.

19 five star reviews in 10 weeks.

When I opened Osteopath Redditch in April, I had no idea how quickly this community would embrace what I was trying to build. A clinic where you are actually listened to. Where you get a proper explanation. Where you leave with a plan, not just a pamphlet.

Every single review represents a person who trusted me with their pain. Some of you had been struggling for months. Some for years. Some of you were nervous about seeing someone new. You came anyway.

That took courage and I do not take it for granted.

This post is simply to say thank you. To every patient who has sat across from me, told me what was going on and allowed me to help.

You are the reason this exists.

If you know someone who has been putting off getting help, please share this with them. Sometimes all it takes is knowing that someone else has been where they are and found their way through it.

With genuine gratitude,

Reece
