✨ Introducing The Calm & Confident Birth Weekend ✨

I'm so excited to finally share this brand new offering with you.

🤍 Understanding your choices and making informed decisions

🤍 Induction, caesarean birth and navigating the maternity system

🤍 Postnatal planning and preparing for life with your baby

This isn't about achieving a "perfect" birth, it's about understanding your options, trusting your instincts and approaching birth with confidence, whatever path your journey takes.

Places are limited to just a small number of couples, creating a warm, welcoming and supportive environment with plenty of opportunity for discussion and personalised guidance.

📅 Date: 29th & 30th August 2026

Somewhere along the way, we've been taught that planning for birth is pointless.

That birth is unpredictable.
That your birth plan will go out of the window.
That there's no point preparing because "you can't control what happens anyway."

And whilst it's true that birth comes with uncertainty, that doesn't mean preparation is wasted.

In fact, I'd argue the opposite.

Preparing for birth isn't about controlling every outcome. It's about understanding your options, knowing what matters to you, and creating the best possible conditions for labour to unfold.

Yet so often, women who choose to prepare are labelled as naive, unrealistic, or told they'll only end up disappointed.

Preparation isn't about certainty, it's about confidence. And flexibility isn't the same thing as being a passive participant in your own birth.

You can remain open to change whilst still making informed choices, asking questions, understanding your preferences and advocating for yourself.

That's not being controlling. That's being prepared.

Consider this your friendly (and slightly nosy) check-in. 👀

Because nobody's going to hand you this information, so I'm just going to keep popping up until you have it.

Save this, share it with a pregnant friend, and if any of these hit a nerve — you know where I am. 👇

If someone told me I had four weeks to get ready for birth, this is exactly where I'd put my energy.

Not the hospital bag. Not seventeen more hours of doom-scrolling birth stories at midnight.

These four things.

Because birth prep isn't about covering every single base, it's about going in feeling informed, supported, and like your body and your birth partner are actually on the same team.

Which one are you working on? Tell me below 👇

"I know all about birth... so why am I still feeling anxious?"

This is something I hear from pregnant women all the time. Many arrive at my classes having read the books, listened to the podcasts and spent hours researching birth online. They know more about birth than ever before, but they're frustrated because the anxiety is still there.

The truth is that information and reassurance can only take us so far.

Birth confidence isn't just about what you know. It's also about what your body has learned to expect.

If your nervous system has learned that birth is something to fear, then it makes sense that information alone doesn't always create the sense of calm and trust you're hoping for.

This is why my approach to birth preparation goes beyond information.

We explore relaxation, breathing, movement, visualisation, mindset, nervous system regulation and support.

Not because knowledge isn't important, but because confidence grows through experience and practice too.

Knowledge prepares the mind. Practice prepares the mind and body.

Which part of your birth preparation has helped you feel most confident so far? 💛

So many of us hear the phrase “sleep training” and immediately think of disconnection, distress, or leaving a child to cry. But what if supporting sleep could actually be about building more connection?

In this clip from this week’s episode of The Relaxed Mama Club, child sleep specialist Jess Prescott shares why she’s passionate about dispelling some of the myths around toddler sleep support, and why understanding what your child truly needs in the moment matters so much more than rigid rules or one-size-fits-all advice.

Because better sleep isn’t just about getting children to sleep independently.

It’s about confidence. Connection. Feeling calmer at bedtime. And creating an approach that feels right for your family.

In this week’s episode of The Relaxed Mama Club, I’m joined by child sleep specialist Jess Prescott from .sleep.secrets and we talk about what’s really going on when toddler sleep becomes a battle.

Because often it isn’t just about sleep. It’s about autonomy, connection, boundaries… and our confidence as parents.

If bedtime currently feels more like a power struggle than a wind-down, this conversation might give you a completely different way to think about it.

🎧 The full episode From Control to Confidence: Rethinking Toddler Sleep is live now. Listen via the link in my bio or wherever you get your podcasts.

And I’m curious…

What’s the most creative bedtime delay tactic your toddler has come up with? 👀
