Many of you will remember the lovely Mitch, who was such a big part of my Skin Deep Clinic journey. We worked together for many years, and she was my right hand when I moved to Battlefield, so I'm sure you'll be interested to hear her wonderful news.

Mitch got married on Saturday, and I was honoured to be part of her special day. It was so lovely to see her again and share in her joy, it reminded me how wonderful it is to reconnect with people who have been such an important part of our lives.

I'm sure you'll agree that she made an absolutely beautiful bride.

Short answer: No. Absolutely not. 😆

While most of us are putting our feet up with a cuppa, Wendy is busy training, learning, and completing yet another professional development course to ensure our patients receive the very best treatments, products, and protocols available.

Her latest achievement? 🎉 Sunekos Training 🎉

This patient originally had her lip treatment a couple of months ago, and the "before" photo was taken at that time. The "after" image was taken yesterday, and as you can see, her results are still looking absolutely fabulous.

One of her main concerns was the development of vertical lip lines, often known as "barcode lines". For this reason, Wendy chose Revanesse® Revise filler. It's a fantastic product for treating these delicate lines because it's soft enough to be placed very superficially in the skin, helping to smooth the area without creating bumps or irregularities.

The remaining filler was then used to enhance her lips using a cannula technique. Although Revanesse® Revise is a soft, hydrating filler, it also has a larger particle size, which means it still provides lovely support and definition. This makes it incredibly versatile—perfect for treating lip lines while also creating a naturally refreshed lip enhancement.

Many patients worry that lip filler means dramatically larger lips, but this case is a wonderful example of how subtle and elegant the results can be. A small amount of filler can soften signs of ageing, restore hydration and structure, and gently enhance the lips while maintaining a completely natural appearance.

We’re all about balance here at Skin Deep Clinic... but the new 24/7 doughnut vending machine at Planet Doughnut just behind the clinic is seriously testing us. 😭🍩 Warm, fresh doughnuts available at ALL hours of the day?! It's dangerous! 😂

But it’s Friday and National Doughnut Day (who knew !), so naturally we’ll be paying it another visit later “just to support local businesses” of course. 🤭 Here’s Paula road-testing it last week because obviously we needed to make sure it actually worked before recommending it to anyone… very professional research from the team as always. 👏🍩✨

I'm so happy we’re moving into summer, lighter evenings and warmer days ☀️ but I honestly can’t believe almost half the year has already gone 😳

This June we will be mostly:

📅 Getting everyone booked in ahead of holiday season
🚶‍♀️ Enjoying the longer days with extra steps in the sunshine
🍻 Making the most of pub gardens and summer evenings with friends
🐾 Getting out for walks and outdoor time
🧴 Slathering on the daily SPF (non-negotiable in summer!)
