Your blood sugar might be having a bit of a midlife wobble.
đŸ‘‰đŸ»The 11am biscuit hunt.
đŸ‘‰đŸ»The 3pm slump.
đŸ‘‰đŸ»The moment you find yourself irrationally irritated by someone in M&S who is simply existing.
đŸ‘‰đŸ»The craving for wine and chocolate the second you finish work.
As oestrogen wobbles through midlife, blood sugar can become less stable. Add stress, poor sleep and a busy life, and suddenly you’re running on caffeine, snacks and sheer determination.
The good news?
This isn’t about eating less.
It’s about eating differently.
More protein.
More fibre.
Better blood sugar balance.
More stable energy.
And yes, possibly fewer incidents in M&S.
The SUMMER RESET is designed to help you do exactly that.
£47 ‱ Starts soon ‱ Doors close Tuesday 16 June

National Cancer Survivors Day always leaves me with mixed emotions.
Of course I’m grateful.
12 years after my breast cancer diagnosis, I know how fortunate I am to be here. To be getting older. To be worrying about things like protein, sleep, strength training and what colour to paint the garden fence.
But survivorship can be complicated.
Because alongside gratitude sits the memory of people who didn’t get the same outcome.
I still remember conversations from hospital wards rooms. People I met during treatment. Family members we’ve lost. Friends whose lives were cut far too short.
And this year, after losing a dear friend and another friend from our festival days, cancer feels very present again.
Cancer changed the course of my life.
It led me into nutrition.
It taught me to pay attention to my body.
It taught me that health is about far more than what is on your plate.
For me, that means nourishing food, yes.
But it also means strength training because treatment left me with osteopenia.
It means managing stress and protecting my nervous system.
It means prioritising connection, community, peace of mind and joy.
It means continuing to learn about my own body, its vulnerabilities and how best to support it.
Most of all, it taught me that getting older is not something to fear.
Growing older is a fu***ng privilege.
One not everybody gets.
Today I’m thinking about every person living with cancer, every survivor, every family affected by it, and every person we wish was still here.

Peanut butter. On a wellness programme. Hear me out đŸŒ¶ïž.
Today’s recipe peek from the SUMMER RESET is the kind of dinner women clip, save, and make again the week after the Reset finishes.
Stuffed peppers with a satay sauce.
This isn’t peanut butter on toast at 4pm (a story for another day).
This is a proper, satisfying, savoury dinner: protein, healthy fats, fibre: the holy trinity for steady blood sugar and a quiet brain in the evening.
đŸŒ¶ïž Peanut butter satay (yes really).
🍗 Beef or lentils: your call.
🌿 Garlic, ginger, lime = anti-inflammatory hat-trick.
đŸŒŸ Fibre + polyphenols from the peppers.
⏱ On the table in under 30 minutes.
Most women come into the Reset braced for “clean eating” code for boring, beige and not enough. And then they make these and realise the whole programme is built around actual food. Food you’d cook anyway. Food that loves you back.
That’s the entire point.
This is one of 20+ recipes inside the SUMMER RESET. 7 days starting Mon 22 June. ÂŁ47 until doors close Tue 16 June.
DM or comment ‘RESET’ if you want in.

You’re wide awake at 3am. Again.
You went to bed knackered. Fell asleep instantly. Now your eyes are open and your brain is doing a forensic review of every awkward thing you’ve said since 1996.
Welcome to sleep in perimenopause & menopause.
It’s not random. It’s blood sugar and cortisol having a midnight conversation behind your back.
Blood sugar dips in the night → cortisol releases to pull it up → cortisol is the wake-up hormone → you wake up alert, sometimes sweaty, often unable to drop back off.
In your 30s, your hormones cushioned this. In midlife, they don’t.
What helps?
✅ A proper evening meal with protein + healthy fats + complex carbs.
✅ Less alcohol.
✅ More magnesium (leafy greens, nuts, seeds, dark chocolate).
✅ Stable blood sugar across the whole day.
The SUMMER RESET is built around all of this.
Women tell me sleep is the first thing that shifts, often by Night 3.

A sentence I keep coming back to with clients.
You’re not broken.
You’re not failing.
You haven’t suddenly become lazy, undisciplined or incapable because the things that worked at 30 no longer touch the sides.
You’re transitioning.
Your hormones are recalibrating. Your metabolism is doing the same. The way your body responds to food, sleep, alcohol and stress has changed, quietly, without asking, and the old strategies stopped working because the old conditions stopped applying.
That’s not a failure of you. That’s biology.
The women who feel best in midlife aren’t the ones doing more, restricting harder, or “getting back on track.”
They’re the ones who’ve stopped fighting the body they’re in and started feeding it what it actually needs now.
That’s the shift. That’s the work.
Whatever today is for you, I hope something on your plate today feels like an act of kindness, not control. 🌿.
(The Summer Reset — 7 days starting 22 June, £47 until Tue 16 June — is built on exactly this thinking. Link in bio if you want it or DM me RESET & I’ll send the details your way.)

We are kicking off the lead up to our June event in the best possible way 💛.
This Wednesday, 3rd June at 6:30pm we are going live on Instagram with the wonderful Cat Merrick, Wellbeing Coach, Buteyko Breathwork Coach and founder of .
Cat will be joining us for a Menopause Conversations live ahead of her talk on Tuesday 9th June, and this is going to be a really special conversation.
We’ll be hearing about Cat’s own experience of menopause, what she sees most often when she works with women at every stage of this transition, and what you can expect to walk away with when you join us on the 9th.
Real, honest, and deeply relatable, exactly the kind of conversation we love having at The Hub.
Because this month we are talking about joy: and Cat genuinely believes, as we do, that when you understand what’s happening in your body and have the tools to work through it, you create the space to feel like yourself again.
No need to register, just show up & give us some wave.
Set a reminder, save this post, or drop a đŸ‘‹đŸ» in the comments and we’ll give you a nudge on the day.
See you Wednesday xx.

Chocolate. For breakfast.
Yes I know. Hear me out đŸ«
This is the recipe that gets the loudest reaction on the Reset.
Women open the pack, see “chocolate breakfast bombs”, panic slightly, then make them, and quietly recalibrate everything they thought this programme was going to be about.
These aren’t pudding pretending to be breakfast. They’re protein, fibre and healthy fats in a chocolate-brownie shape, designed to keep your blood sugar so steady you’ll forget your usual 11am crash exists.
đŸ« Protein — the not-negotiable in midlife.
🌰 Healthy fats from nuts and seeds.
đŸŒŸ Fibre to slow everything down in the best way.
đŸ« Real cocoa, yes the good stuff.
🍯 Sweetened gently with banana (no refined sugar).
Most women come into the Reset braced for rabbit food and rules. And then they meet chocolate at breakfast and the whole thing tilts.
That’s the point.
This is one of 20+ recipes inside the SUMMER RESET.

The 3pm crash. The 11am biscuit hunt. The 6pm wine pull.
It’s not willpower babes. It’s blood sugar.
And in midlife, when oestrogen dips, cortisol creeps up, and sleep becomes optional (apparently), your blood sugar control quietly destabilises whether you’ve changed anything or not.
You get more crashes. More cravings. Hangry rage at someone in M&S who did nothing wrong. Weight settling around your middle. The lot.
The fix isn’t “eat less.” It’s eating in a way that keeps blood sugar steady through the day. Protein at every meal. Healthy fats. Fibre. A breakfast that isn’t toast and good intentions.
That’s exactly what the SUMMER RESET is built around. Most women tell me by Day 3 they’ve stopped reaching for the sugar. By Day 5 the afternoon slump has gone.
7 days · starts Mon 22 June · £47 until Tue 16 June. Link in bio. Or DM me RESET for details.
