Hey all,

I am still alive 😅

I know I've been a bit slack at updating this account. In all honesty, .and.skin is where I'm mostly active these days, so if the treatment side of what I do floats your boat, please give it a follow.

I still have plenty of crystal, witchy, and spiritual stock available, and I've paid my website and domain fees until next summer, so I'm not disappearing any time soon.

With that in mind, I'll be doing the odd local market here and there. I've already signed up to trade at .ren in October, and I'm sure I'll apply for more events as they come up.

Don't forget you can still book a private shopping appointment to browse in person, and the 35% discount is still running online too (just use code FAREWELL at check out).

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been looking forward to posting a round-up of 2025. In terms of the year of the snake, it went hard. 🐍

From a Widow perspective, I did loads. I’ve been genuinely happy with how things have progressed and evolved. I invested loads of time, energy, and 💷 into training, worked my arse off, and I’m really fu***ng proud of myself. 💪

Health-wise, it’s been more complicated.

Perimenopause has been doing overtime for the past 18 months. As a brucey bonus, the shift in hormones and neurotransmitters led to an ADHD diagnosis in August. It’s taken some adjusting, but it’s also brought a lot of clarity. Add fibromyalgia, overwhelm, burnout and stress into the mix and it’s not surprising I’ve been bloody knackered and more withdrawn. 😮‍💨

Losing Mani so suddenly and traumatically was the hardest part of the year. He was my tiny best mate and shadow. In the five weeks since he’s gone, I think there’s been maybe two days where I haven’t cried over him. He didn’t deserve to leave so soon or the way he did and thinking about him still breaks my heart. 🌙

Last year I also made the decision to stop doing markets. The last few I did made it very clear that the financial, physical and mental costs outweighed the return. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met some lush people and had some great days at markets, but I’ve also had some absolute s**t ones. I just can’t handle the cortisol spike that comes with the gamble anymore. 🫠😵‍💫

Thank you so much for all the messages of love and condolences. I’m grieving hard in honestly. I miss my little marra so much and the silence without him is just heartbreaking. Because of this, I’m taking a gentle sabbatical from social media and will be continuing this until new year.

I’m in the middle of a rebrand.

As I mentioned recently, I’m slowly moving away from retail, so once current stock is gone, that’ll be it.

My focus will now be fully on treatments and with this shift, a transformation felt long overdue.

Enter Sigil+Skin.

In honesty The Professional Widow no longer reflected what I do (I’ve also gone right off the lilac!).

You might have already spotted .and.skin on Instagram, if not, please give it a follow. I’ll still be posting here for a little while yet, but if you’re drawn to a slower, more intentional space, that’s where you’ll find me.

There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.

Here’s a post I never wanted to make, but hey ho.

I’ve been getting a lot of inappropriate and energy-draining messages lately (top tip: don’t put your WhatsApp details on your Google Business page as I *think* that’s where most of them have come from).

Every time I’ve allowed someone to overstep a boundary, I’ve ended up regretting it. So, moving forward, I’ve had to put some ground rules in place:

1. The Studio Is Appointment Only - I don’t know how many times I’ve had to say this, but I still get people asking if they can just “pop in for one or two things.” I really appreciate the support, but no — please book an appointment, a pickup, or a delivery.

2. Witch For Hire Consultations - I had to create the Witch For Hire service because I was being bombarded with questions and was giving away energy, time and guidance that went unreciprocated. From now on, any requests for information or advice will be sent a booking link. If you go ahead, we’ll arrange a Zoom consultation and move forward from there. My energy and expertise are part of my practice and I simply can’t continue giving them away for free.

3. Operating Hours - I won’t be replying to messages outside of my working hours anymore. My screen time is already high enough.

4. Body Massage Treatments - Anyone who knows me knows I’ve always been an advocate for men’s mental health, and I truly believe everyone deserves access to treatments that help them feel relaxed, grounded and cared for. Sadly, the volume of sexually inappropriate messages I’ve received has made this increasingly difficult and in honestly, is quite worrying. With this in mind, I now only offer body massage treatments to women. Everything else (except Yoni Steaming) remains unisex.

Sorry if this post is a bit Debbie Downer, but the above has really being getting on top of me and I really needed the whinge.
