From a newly qualified nurse in 2015 to where I am today… what a journey it’s been. 🤍
Nursing has allowed me to witness life in its rawest, most vulnerable and most beautiful moments. I’ve held the hands of patients taking their final breaths, and I’ve held the hands of parents as they welcomed brand new life into the world. I’ve celebrated recoveries, cried behind closed doors, worked exhausting shifts, and carried stories that will stay with me forever.
It’s not just a job — it becomes part of who you are.
No amount of training truly prepares you for the privilege and responsibility of caring for people during the hardest and most important moments of their lives. But despite the long days, the emotional weight, and the challenges along the way… I will always be proud to say: I am a nurse.
