Have you ever looked out an airplane window and suddenly realized just how BIG this world really is?

We can get so caught up in our own little world - the stress, the worries, the things that aren’t going the way we hoped ... and they can feel absolutely enormous.

Then you see a view like this.
Miles and miles of ocean. An entire coastline below you. A world that keeps going far beyond what you can see.

It doesn’t make our struggles disappear, but somehow it puts them into perspective.

Maybe what feels all-consuming today is only one small piece of a much bigger story.

Abuse—whether physical, emotional, or mental—can rewire the nervous system. It can convince us that what is familiar is the same as what is safe. Chaos can feel like love. Walking on eggshells can feel like connection. Silence can feel like peace.

But healing invites us to question those patterns. To ask: Is this familiar, or is this healthy? Then to take one small step at a time toward who we are beyond the pain.

It’s never too late to speak your truth. Never too late to ask for support. Never too late to learn what it means to love yourself more than anyone else—to hold yourself with the same gentleness you’ve always longed for.
