🔥😱Your answer reveals your body's pattern.
☝️Instead of shifting your focus completely to the directions that needs more space, try to be more aware in that exhale (or inhale) and add a bit more to it. Change should feel natural and not externallyl forced into the system.

❌The IT band is fascia and it doesn't lengthen like muscle.
☝️The tightness you feel is load coming from 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲, from a small hip muscle called the 𝗧𝗙𝗟 that is overworking because the pelvis isn't stabilised well in gravity.
Roll all you want. The alarm keeps going until you find where it starts.

😱𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀. - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀.
The primary muscle of breathing is the 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺 — a dome at the base of the rib cage, connected to the 𝗽𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 below and the 𝗽𝘀𝗼𝗮𝘀 behind. When it moves fully, the whole torso participates. 🔥When one of them shortens, everything compensates: the hips, the lower back, the nervous system.
☝️Place your hands on your lower ribs. Breathe in. Do your hands move sideways? That boundary is information.

😱🔥𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 YOU 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲 - 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽!
Let's go deeper to understand why body parts tighten especially after injury or surgery.
A lot of people experience new pain or worse pain sensations after a surgery. The body's primary function is to secure survival. If one body part is weak and cannot follow it function your nervous system goes on alarm mode: other muscles or body parts take over and everything tightens up. Only when your nervous system feels safe again or receive the correct information, it will open again.

🔥Instead of forcing your body back into mobility in a short time, work on your 𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. The moment your NS understand that it is safe to move again, tightness will leave your body.
Your body is not broken. It is patterned and some patterns are there to protect you from more harm.

- diaphragm

- deep spinal muscles
- psoas
- pelvic floor

🔥😱𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀!
Most people only train glutes for shape or strength.
☝️But one of their biggest jobs is 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗽.
f the pelvis loses support, the whole upper body starts compensating above it...one sign is one shoulder is hanging. This is why posture is rarely just posture.
🔥𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

If the pelvis loses stability, the upper body starts compensating above it:
- one shoulder hangs lower.
- neckt tightens
- breath shallow
🔥𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻.
👉Instead of only stretching the shoulder:
1- Practice slow single-leg standing.
2- Improve ribcage mobility with twists
3- activate glute med
