RESUS ROYALE 2026 🚑

The Resuscitation Club FMS USJ , successfully hosted Resus Royale 2026, an engaging quiz competition on Basic Life Support and emergency medicine, bringing together enthusiastic participants for an evening of learning, teamwork, and academic excellence.

We sincerely thank all participants, organizers, volunteers, and faculty for their invaluable support in making this event a success.

Special thanks to Dr. Kavya Botejeu, Senior Treasurer of the Resuscitation Club, for her continuous guidance and support throughout the event.

We were honoured to present the Dr. Nilmini Wijesuriya Award to the winning team, in recognition of Dr. Wijesuriya’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of resuscitation medicine in Sri Lanka and her pioneering role in strengthening national training and awareness.

Congratulations to all participants for an inspiring evening of learning and excellence.

🔁 A RECAP of the CPR Workshop for the 35th Batch FMS, USJ held on May 14th, 2026.

The Resuscitation Club of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura successfully conducted a hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop for the 35th batch.

Filled with enthusiasm and active participation, students gained valuable practical exposure to essential life-saving skills through engaging hands-on sessions.

This workshop was organized under the guidance of our Senior Treasurer, Dr. Kavya Botejeu, together with the continuous support of our dedicated board and club members.

🚑 BLS Training Session for Ambulance Drivers | 21st October 2025
💪 Strengthening the First Responders of Our Nation!

The Resuscitation Club of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) training session for ambulance drivers, equipping them with essential lifesaving skills and practical knowledge.

With the guidance of our Senior Treasurer, Dr. Kawaya Botheju, and the dedication of our board and club members, this initiative focused on strengthening the first link in the chain of survival.

To assess the effectiveness of the session, a pre- and post-questionnaire was distributed among participants, and the results showed a remarkable improvement in their understanding and confidence after the training. The enthusiastic feedback and appreciation from the ambulance drivers made it all the more rewarding!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this program a success❤️

එක් හෘද ස්පන්දනයක්. එක් ක්‍රියාවක්. එක් ජීවිතයක්.🫀

Resuscitation Club මගින් අපි මේ ගැන සමාජය දැනුවත්කිරීම, ජීවිත බේරාගැනීමේ කුසලතා ඉගැන්වීම, සහ ඒ වෙනුවෙන් තත්පර කිහිපයකින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වීමට විශ්වාසය වර්ධනය කිරීම සඳහා කැපවී සිටිමු.
