🪷 TONIGHT, WE LIGHT A CANDLE FOR NEPAL & TIBET
Tonight, we pause.
We light a candle in remembrance of every precious life lost in the catastrophic flash floods and landslides that struck the Nepal–Tibet border region on August 26, 2026.
We hold close the families grieving unimaginable loss—and those still waiting, hoping and praying for news of someone they love.
We hold close the missing, the injured, the displaced and every survivor carrying the shock and sorrow of what they have endured.
We also honour those serving amid the devastation:
The search-and-rescue teams.
The volunteers and relief workers.
The medical teams and emergency personnel.
The police, pilots, specialists and neighbours offering shelter, comfort and care.
Tonight, this candle is for all of them.
It cannot undo what has happened or take away the grief families are carrying.
But it can stand as a quiet promise:
That every life matters.
That this suffering is seen.
That those still missing have not been forgotten.
And that across countries, cultures and faiths, people throughout the world are united in compassion—sending love, prayers and hope into this heartbreaking darkness.
May those who have died be held in peace.
May those who are missing be found.
May the injured receive healing.
May every grieving heart be surrounded by compassion.
May the rescuers be protected and strengthened.
May help reach every person still waiting.
And may the light of our shared humanity continue to shine, even through this profound sorrow.
🕯️ Tonight, we invite you to light a candle with us—for remembrance, for hope and for every life touched by this tragedy.
With Metta,
Peace Compassion Love 🪷
