A little moment of gratitude after a pretty special weekend 🤎
One of the goals I had written into my business plan was to take my body composition scanning on the road — travelling from Auckland, getting back into our communities and working alongside gyms and people who want to understand more about their metabolic health.
This weekend, I actually did it. ✔️
From a home scanning session in Kerikeri, to Russell Strength, FitLab 24/7 and Whiti Te Ra Hauora Hub, the Mediana came along for the journey and I got to meet, scan and have some really good conversations with some pretty awesome people.
And if I’m being truthful, there’s always that little voice in the background asking me… Is this going to work? Are people going to be receptive? Am I doing a good job?
This weekend was a good reminder to trust the mahi.
But there was another part of the weekend that filled my cup just as much — being back home.
Seeing the water and the whenua, travelling those familiar roads, catching up with beautiful friends and their whānau, and just being back amongst people and places that mean so much to me. I didn’t realise how much I needed that until I was there.
There were definitely learnings from the weekend too. Things I’ll change, things I’ll plan better and things I’ll take into the next trip. That’s all part of building something.
And behind all of it is my whānau. My husband and our kids are always there supporting whatever Mum has decided she’s going to do next 😂 Helping, encouraging, travelling, carrying gear and just making things happen. I’m incredibly grateful for them.
So today I’m taking a moment to acknowledge this one.
First mobile body composition scanning weekend from Auckland to Northland. Done. ✔️
A little box ticked in the business plan — but actually, it meant so much more than that.
Grateful for the people, the places, the conversations, the learnings, being back home, and my whānau behind me.
Now we keep building. 🤎
