After what has been an incredibly challenging, yet equally rewarding month, I took a little break from posting — and from work too.

There were many sleepless nights and I felt like my life was falling apart at times, but through all of these lessons, blessings and tears, I’ve learned more about myself and what truly matters.

There are always silver linings even if they’re difficult to see sometimes, and for me, this challenging period has brought about a heightened appreciation for this work and a renewed confidence in what can be achieved through it, as well as immense gratitude for those who helped me with navigating the more practical aspects of daily life. 💫

The stress of the past month has taken its toll, so for now I need to take things quietly. I’m slowly getting back up to speed, taking bookings a little closer to home while I build back up to travelling further afield. I’ll be in touch with those waiting to re-book shortly. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding… I can’t wait to see you! And I’ll share more about this another time, but for now I want to share a few moments from a very special horse-assisted therapy session I facilitated yesterday. 💕

My client had previously witnessed my work with her own horses and was excited to hear that I occasionally treat people as well as animals. Having tried many different modalities to heal her longstanding trauma — including energy healing, psychotherapy, Reiki and more — she was drawn to the idea of experiencing a session with the assistance of her beautiful horse, Jet.

As I began the treatment, Jet responded to the initial shifts in her energy by rolling on the ground a couple of times — a clear sign to me that he was attuned and approved of the changing frequency.

As I continued working, Jet hovered around us, sometimes standing behind me and supporting me as I worked to clear emotional trauma, and at other times moving closer to his guardian, nuzzling into her head or legs or keeping the energy light by playing with the shaggy blanket beneath her, but all the while, supporting us in clearing stagnant energy and longstanding trauma.

The dense energy moved through quickly, with both of us holding space and Jet providing a powerful grounding presence.

Jet also revealed some of his own physical issues during the session, mirroring them to me through my own body. He gave several beautiful, big yawns as he released energy while I worked on physical issues that both he and his guardian had in common.

Throughout the session, his guardian released deeply held trauma, sobbing on the table as she let go of energy she had carried for well over a decade.
Afterwards, she told me she felt so much lighter and could no longer feel the stuck energy in her chest. She looked different too — lighter, freer and more open. She expressed her gratitude and told me she felt the work had been transformational for her.💕💫🙌🏼

What a blessing it is to be able to help someone in this way, while having a beautiful horse like Jet hold space and assist in the healing, and in the process… deepening their bond and connection! 💕

If you would like to experience a transformational session with your own horse, please send me a DM to enquire.💫💕🐴

Meet beautiful Koda, a six year old Stationbred Standardbred with the sweetest nature. 💙

Koda had been struggling with his canter and appeared uncomfortable through his hip and lower back. His guardian noticed his hip would occasionally drop, and when she would massage the area, it felt like something wasn’t quite right. Unsurprisingly, this sweet boy had become reluctant to be ridden.

His guardian couldn’t pinpoint the soreness to an injury but it was clear he needed a little bit of support to heal. Due to the physical distance between us, I was asked to work remotely. The intention was to ease Koda’s discomfort, encourage balance and ease within his body, and support his emotional wellbeing.

I connected with Koda’s energy and listened to what his body was showing me. I was drawn to his hips and sacrum, and little by little the tension softened, his energy became lighter and I could feel a sense of ease returning.

It became clear that Koda was also carrying emotional tension alongside his physical discomfort. As I supported him to release these emotions I was reminded of the importance of trust, patience and presence.

When an animal feels deeply seen, heard and understood a space is created for them to release any dis-ease they are holding within the body. This quiet exchange between two beings is just as profound whether I am standing beside them or connecting with them from afar.

A few days after his treatment, I received this beautiful update from his guardian...

"Hi Lisa, just wanted to let you know I think Koda is feeling a lot better. Enough to be rearing up and annoying his brother and old Dad in the paddock. Tearing around bucking and hooning like an irritating young fool as far as they're concerned haha. He's incredibly cuddly and smoochy and generally just pretty happy. I'm not planning on riding him for another month to give him plenty of down time to heal. Thought you'd like to know." 💕

There is nothing quite like hearing that a horse who wasn't feeling himself is once again running, playing, cuddling and simply enjoying life! Seeing their spark return is such a gift.

Wishing this gorgeous boy many happy adventures ahead. Thank you Koda, for sharing your story with me. 💙

After the significant physical and behavioural improvements Boots showed following his first treatment, it was time for a follow up session to see if we could unpack a little more.

When I began treating Boots, it was clear his posture wasn't quite right. His chest was noticeably collapsed, with his shoulders rounded and drawn together. As the treatment progressed, his chest began to open and flatten, indicating that the restrictions within his body were beginning to ease.

I had been asked to see if I could get to the bottom of why his jumping was so inconsistent. One day he would fly over jumps with confidence and ease; the next, he looked completely green, as though he'd forgotten everything he knew. This was really puzzling, as Boots had previously competed at Horse of the Year, so there was no question about his ability.

As I tuned into his nervous system and the memories he carried of his previous guardian and their relationship, I was met with an overwhelming sense of sadness.

Boots stood just 14.1 hands high. As his previous young guardian grew, it became time for her to advance to a larger horse so she could continue developing her riding skills. Having outgrown gorgeous Boots, he was re-homed.

From Boots' perspective, this experience created a powerful association. He learned that forming a close bond with his guardian and becoming successful at jumps led to being left behind. In his mind, jumping well meant losing the person he loved.

He desperately wanted to please his new guardian and genuinely enjoyed jumping, but deep within his nervous system was the fear of what doing well might mean for his future.

Suddenly, everything made sense.
We had found the missing piece of the puzzle!! And with the root cause identified, I was able to address the emotional trauma he had been carrying by reprogramming his subconscious that had linked positive performance with loss of security.

I also treated him with selected homeopathic remedies, made targeted supplement recommendations to support his gut health and treated a couple of minor physical issues that surfaced during the session.

Healing isn't just about treating the body or changing behaviour in isolation. It's about understanding the story an animal is carrying, gently releasing what no longer serves them, and giving them the opportunity to move forward with confidence, trust and joy.

I'm looking forward to seeing Boots continue to flourish as he realises that doing his very best doesn't mean he'll lose the person he loves - it simply means he gets to enjoy a fun and fulfilling life together with his guardian. 🐴💛

💫 What if the behaviour isn't the problem, but the message…. !

✨ Have you ever wondered what story your horse might be carrying? 🌟🐴🩷
