National Volunteer Week ends tomorrow. Whilst I share this special personal post about Ellen below, I want to remind you about the importance of volunteering & it's impact.
I cannot say enough about the difference this makes in the world of well-being.
I have had numerous clients end up with paid employment from volunteering.
Joy, happiness, connection, physical activity & many more elements are gains from volunteering.
It really can change the lens you look through and add immense mental health value.
So I guess I want to celebrate & highlight the benefits and get you thinking how this could be something you or someone you know could benefit from.
Volunteering definitely makes the world go round.

"I want to celebrate Ellen, dear friends' Mum who gives even more beyond this beautiful snapshot here as a Meals On Wheels volunteer of over 20 years. I have known her for over 40 years now and have always been made to feel like a family member.
I hear her passion for what she does and the difference those visits make to often lonely, isolated souls.
Generosity, kindness and understanding are just some of her core values. She really is a shining star.
Could you brighten someone's day?
If you don't know what to do with your time, volunteer. There are no end of opportunities & support via Volunteering Canterbury."
