Your iron looks fine.
Maybe. But did they check your ferritin? Your TIBC? Your transferrin saturation? Your hemoglobin and hematocrit?
And if it’s not from a heavy bleed, did they bring up looking into your gut health for the root cause?
Iron deficiency is one of the most commonly missed and mismanaged nutrient issues we see- because most panels only scratch the surface, and most ranges are designed to catch disease, not dysfunction.
A ferritin of 17 is technically in range. Clinically it is not. And no amount of iron supplements will fix a deficiency driven by H. pylori, low stomach acid, or missing cofactors nobody tested for.
