Southeast Addiction Recovery Coalition Leaders Council member Staci James with Hope Movement Coalition and Cammie Wolf Rice with CWC Alliance attended the Trauma Resource Institute’s 20th Anniversary Conference in Claremont, California.

They joined experts in trauma and resilience from around the world to exchange ideas and explore practical approaches to supporting people affected by trauma. Cammie presented on the Life Care Specialist role, which brings prevention, education, and substance use support into healthcare.

The conference’s focus connects directly to Hope Movement’s work: helping people understand how trauma affects the way they feel, respond to stress, and connect with others. As certified trainers with the Trauma Resource Institute, Staci and Cammie teach practical skills that help individuals recognize and manage stress responses. These skills can support families living with traumatic grief, people in recovery, and others affected by trauma. The training also equips community and business leaders to better support the people they serve and lead.
