Texas nurses, take note.

When should a nurse report an arrest?

Nurses must disclose criminal offenses—including arrests, convictions, and deferred adjudications—when applying for initial licensure or renewal. For more details, review the eligibility questions here: https://www.bon.texas.gov/licensure_eligibility.asp.html. If you have a unique situation or wish to report or discuss before renewal, our enforcement department can help.

March of Dimes
This year, TNA will be partnering with March of Dimes at the Annual Conference! As part of our community partnership, we invite you to help support families with babies in the NICU by donating items for comfort and care toiletry kits. Our goal is to assemble 50 toiletry bags during the conference.
Requested donations include:
• Toothbrush and toothpaste (either full size or travel size)
• Brush or comb
• Dry shampoo
• Lip balm
• Gum or mints
• Travel size deodorant
• Unscented lotion
• Face wipes
• Small packet of tissues
• Small journal
• Pen or pencil
• Cozy socks
• Gift cards for gas, Starbucks, Walmart or Target, common fast food restaurants, etc.
• Tea bags (calming teas)
• Reusable water bottle
• Pumping supplies – storage bags, nursing pads, ni**le cream, etc.
• Swaddle blankets
• Unrefrigerated snacks – Crackers, granola bars, etc., etc. that can be eaten on the run and stored in bags
• Children’s novels to read to their children
• Resource books for parents such as Preemies – Second Edition: The Essential Guide for Parents of Premature Babies
• External Phone power packs
*TNA will be providing toiletry bags, so please focus efforts on bringing items to go inside the bags*
We also encourage you to stop by the booth to write letters of encouragement and appreciation for NICU staff, whose dedication and compassion make a lasting difference for families every day. Your generosity and support will help provide comfort, encouragement, and practical assistance to NICU families and caregivers when they need it most.

Safe Space Sessions (SSS)
Feel like you’re in a career rut? Need help connecting with your students? Looking for ideas on how to unwind after your shift? Safe Space Sessions (SSS) are designed to connect you with other nurses going through similar experiences. Choose between three topic rooms: The Charging Station (Wellness-Focused), Career Crossroads (Professional Development & Growth), or NCLEX and Chill (Students & Faculty). Each room will have a few prompts to get the conversation going. Join us in Forth Worth rooms 5, 6, and 7 during the Friday lunch break.
