The mountains are calling and I must answer.
This adventure back to the Dolomiti has been planned for over a year. and... we never know where life will take us.
I am now 5 months post ankle fracture. I have healed fairly well. I feel blessed to know and have been served by some vey talented practitioners - thank you Dwight Pargee (Feldenkrais master!), Patty Alvarez (generous, caring and talented LMT), John Center, PT (patient and knowledgeable - Focus PT), and my dearest friend Elizabeth McClain (Osteopathic based manual therapy) who generously drove 4 hours from Boulder to Crestone to work on me and untwisted my pelvis allowing me to walk again. 🙏🙏
This has been an incredible journey. Lots of learning on sooooo many levels. My gratitude runs as deep as these mountains are high. Every step is a lesson in mindfulness and gratitude.

Notice what happens in your inner Being when the light shining through the trees catches your eye. You might notice a sense of awe, a spark of wonderment, an opening, perhaps a spurt of dopamine in your brain, a settling. These moments tend to bring you into the present moment.
You can use this feeling as a touchstone in your practice of craniosacral or bodywork or even in a conversation with a friend. If you find find yourself distracted in a session, you can call on this sensation to bring you into the here and now. Into presence.
Try it now! Take a breath, recall the image - the light shining through the trees, the sunset, the sky - open to the feeling. Let it settle you and uplift you.
Remember... presence is the healer.

Have you hugged a tree lately? The elementals are alive and have so much wisdom to share. I hope that you already have the practice of connecting in with the trees, the stones, the moss, the earth.
Slow down, touch them, feel their vibration, listen to their voice, drink them in, and share your love for their beauty, their voice, their guidance.
In SHM Summer Camp (August 9-11) (for established SMH students), we will play and practice Craniosacral in the wondrous ponderosa pine forest of the Metolius. We will deeply plant our roots, be supported by the earth, the trees and the sound of the river and bring healing touch to each other.
