We had so much fun being part of the 3rd Annual Neurodiversity Palooza last night. We visited with students and families about available services in the community and took in the energy and passion for inclusion of local peer to peer participants! Today is Autism Awareness & Acceptance Day—but more importantly, it’s a day for listening.

Listening to autistic voices. Listening to lived experiences. Listening to what acceptance—not just awareness—really looks like.

Awareness is knowing autism exists. Acceptance is creating a world where autistic people are respected, included, and supported as they are.

Many in the autistic community are asking us to move beyond symbols that don’t reflect them—and instead embrace what does. That’s why today, some choose to wear ❤️ red instead of blue, or 💛 gold (“Au” on the periodic table) to represent the value, diversity, and humanity of autistic individuals.

There is no single “autistic experience.” Some speak, some don’t. Some need significant support, others less so. All deserve dignity, autonomy, and a voice in the conversation.

So today, let’s:
-Center autistic perspectives
-Challenge stereotypes and misinformation
-Advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and equity
-Celebrate neurodiversity

Acceptance isn’t a one-day act—it’s an ongoing commitment. ❤️💛

Hello families! Poppy's Promise would like to invite you to the 6th Annual iCan Swim Camp, hosted by Keeping the Promise! 🏊‍♀️🏊

📌What: This is a swimming camp designed for young swimmers with disabilities, helping them receive one-on-one support in small class groups.

🩱🩳 Who: With very few exceptions, anyone aged 3 and up with a diagnosed disability can register!

🗓️When: Monday, August 3rd - Friday, August 7th of 2026. Class times are dependent on the swimmer's age and class availability.

📍Where: Bismarck Aquatic and Wellness Center. 1601 Canary Ave, Bismarck

📲How: Just click the link below to register! The registration fee is $75 - if there is any reason your swimmer can't make it, we refund the full amount once swimmers are locked in.
