Four of the 2026 FIU Medicine and Baptist Health Pilot Project Awards will support collaborative cancer research focused on multiple myeloma, meningioma, glioblastoma and pancreatic cancer.

Congratulations to Baptist Health’s Guenther Koehne, M.D., Ph.D.; Michael McDermott, M.D.; Manmeet Ahluwalia, M.D.; and Janos Juhasz, Ph.D.; and their FIU Medicine research partners. Their projects are exploring new opportunities in immunotherapy, therapeutic discovery and biomarkers of treatment response.
