We're often asked what makes our "Accelerated Healing" program different. One of the cutting-edge tools we use is PPX therapy, which involves extracellular vesicles. 🔬

These tiny vesicles act like "messengers" that transmit signals to your cells, telling them to reduce inflammation and start the repair process. This is especially helpful for complex connective tissue injuries that have failed to heal with standard care. Our technique uses your own body's signaling system to encourage a much more robust healing response.

It's the next frontier of regenerative medicine.

If you're dealing with osteoarthritis or joint degeneration, you might feel like you're just waiting for things to get worse.

We offer a specialized therapy called A*M, or Alpha-2-Macroglobulin. This is a naturally occurring protein in your blood that acts like a "sponge" to soak up the enzymes that break down your joint tissue. By concentrating this protein and injecting it directly into the joint using ultrasound guidance, we can help calm the inflammatory environment.

It's a powerful way to protect your joints and support your long-term mobility. 🛡️

Most imaging requires you to stay perfectly still, but your pain usually happens when you move. 🏃 That's why diagnostic ultrasound is such a game changer.

We can perform a "dynamic" scan, which means we watch your joints and tendons in action while you move the area that hurts. This allows us to see things like snapping tendons or nerve entrapments that only show up during movement. By watching how your body actually functions, we can create a much more accurate plan for your recovery.

Have you ever pointed to a spot that hurts, only to have a standard scan come back "normal"? It's incredibly frustrating to feel like your imaging doesn't match your reality.

At the Marcus Institute, we use high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound to bridge that gap. This technology allows us to look at your muscles, tendons, and nerves in high definition while you're right here in the room. By visualizing the soft tissue in real time, we can finally identify the exact source of your discomfort. 🔍

Gut health has become a buzzword, but the science behind it is worth taking seriously.

Your gut microbiome—the community of trillions of microorganisms living in your digestive tract—plays a direct role in regulating your immune system, metabolizing hormones, managing inflammation, and producing neurotransmitters like serotonin. When it's disrupted, downstream effects can include fatigue, brain fog, skin conditions, autoimmune symptoms, or hormonal imbalances that don't respond to standard treatment.

At the Marcus Institute, gut health assessment is integral to our approach to complex, unresolved cases. If a patient has been treated for a symptom repeatedly without lasting improvement, the gut is often one of the first places we look.

It's rarely just a digestion problem. It's a whole-system problem that happens to start there.

Many of our patients have spent years being told everything looks normal, only to feel anything but.

They've seen multiple providers, had standard panels run, and been offered medications to manage symptoms that no one has fully investigated. What they hadn't had was a physician willing to look for the root cause.

That's where we start. If this resonates, we're welcoming new patients at our Boca Raton clinic and would be glad to meet you.

May is Arthritis Awareness Month. Here's a perspective that doesn't always come up in the standard conversation about arthritis treatment.

Reducing inflammation offers relief. But if we don't ask why it keeps returning, we stay in a management loop. At the Marcus Institute, we look at joint structure alongside gut health, inflammatory markers, nutritional status, and immune patterns, because that full picture is often what's missing.

For the right patients, we also incorporate PRP or prolotherapy to address the structural side of arthritis in ways conventional care alone typically doesn't.

If you're frustrated with where your arthritis treatment has left you, we'd welcome a conversation: fau.edu/marcusinstitute/request-appointment

Today is International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, and we want to talk about prolotherapy, one of the tools we use for complex, chronic pain cases.

Here's how it works: we inject a precise dextrose solution into weakened connective tissue. That triggers a controlled inflammatory response, which signals the body to mobilize growth factors and begin rebuilding collagen in the area.

The difference from a steroid injection is fundamental. Steroids suppress inflammation for short-term relief. Prolotherapy intentionally initiates it to drive long-term repair.

It's used for osteoarthritis, ligament and tendon injuries, chronic back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, and soft-tissue dysfunction—all delivered under ultrasound guidance.

PRP therapy starts with your own blood. We draw a small sample, spin it to concentrate the healing growth factors, and deliver it to the damaged tissue under ultrasound guidance.

That last part matters. Blind injections are far less reliable. We also customize the white blood cell content of every preparation—leukocyte-rich for tendinopathies, leukocyte-poor for joint environments where excess inflammation works against you.

We treat osteoarthritis, tennis elbow, rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, hair restoration, and skin rejuvenation, all with the same level of precision.
