On day six of the EPIC 20in20 Fundraiser, we want to give a shout-out to the 2026 Worcester EPIC Service Warriors, who will officially graduate tonight!

This team of 12 young leaders with disabilities has spent the past year serving their community and developing new skills to help them reach their goals and strengthen their leadership. These young leaders have completed more than 1,200 hours of community service, prepared meals for the community, worked on community farms, led 50 other community volunteers in a day of service, and much more! These young leaders have made an EPIC impact on the City of Worcester, and we are excited to celebrate them tonight!

As these young leaders graduate, we also welcome the 2027 Team of Warriors to the EPIC Community as they put on their EPIC Jackets to carry on the Warriors’ work. Please help us support these incoming Warriors as they serve their community and develop new skills to help them reach their goals. It is day five of the EPIC 20in20 Fundraiser, and we are excited to introduce Ophelia, one of our new 2027 Boston Service Warriors. Ophelia is passionate about making a difference and is excited to work with her fellow Warriors this year to do just that.

We are excited to see how Ophelia’s leadership grows this year! Please help us support Ophelia and her fellow Warriors in Boston and Worcester by donating to our 20in20 Fundraiser today. Today is June 1st, and it officially kicks off our annual EPIC 20in20 Fundraiser. Over the next 20 days, we will officially launch our 2027 Worcester and Boston Service Warrior Teams. These two new teams of young leaders with disabilities are ready to take action and create change in their cities.

Over the next 20 days, we will highlight members of the EPIC community who put our mission into action every day. Today, on the first day of the EPIC 20in20, we want you to meet Nathan!

Nathan first joined EPIC as a Service Warrior on the 2019-2020 team. He was always ready to roll up his sleeves to help his community and team. After he graduated, Nathan focused on his personal goals, and we are happy to have him return to EPIC as a 2027 Service Leader on the Boston Team, where he will serve as a peer leader and mentor to the new Warriors.

When asked why he wanted to return to EPIC, Nathan said, “The reason I want to return to EPIC as a Service Leader is to support new Warriors so they will be prepared to be leaders. I want them to use the knowledge they learned from me to support future Warriors.”

Sounds like Nathan is ready to support his team and community and to leave an EPIC legacy for years to come! Please consider helping Nathan as he puts on his EPIC Jacket for another year of service, supporting a new crew of young leaders with disabilities. Your $20 donation to the EPIC 20in20 can make an EPIC impact on the year ahead.
