I really love what I do as a Certified Advanced Rolfer and Rolf Movement practitioner. Generally that means I work with clients who come for help with musculoskeletal complaints but this often turns into a voyage of discovery through the whole body: how distant parts can affect each other; how an improved sense of well-being in the body can lead to a new sense of self. Rolf's vision for her work,

and it still is. Sometimes it takes a few sessions for that aspect to emerge for people, and usually it is after they realize how intimately connected body and mind can be, as revealed by body-oriented work. Getting oriented in our felt sense in the body, in our relationship to gravity and to perception of and movement into space is part of the process. "Where Am I" is then a key question. As we pursue deeper relationships in the body, which we term core work, the key question is :"Who Am I?". As we pursue an invigorated sense of relationship between newly freed-up and differentiated parts of the body, a sense of mobilization ensues: "Where Am I Going?" becomes the key. Part of my gift, I feel, is finding ways to supplement the structural integration work with practices and questions that stimulate continued development of sensory, coordinative and spatial awareness. Some of that will involve fitness and strengthening work, as my long background in professional dance has taught me a lot about life-long best practices in fitness for longevity, health and optimizing athletic performance. If you are looking for a personal athletic best, no matter your age, I welcome that! If you are looking for a way to feel better, more relaxed and centered in the midst of transition, I welcome that! If you are getting weighed down by nagging injuries and want to feel better, I welcome that! My reaction: so what? The money is necessary to combat big money, which is clearly happening on the other side. The notion that we’re trying to go communist is laughable. The idea that posters were printed essentially: I haven’t seen any.

Rob has helped me immensely in relieving discomfort in my rib cage from heart surgery. He is supremely skilled and also very congenial. He is a wonderful practitioner and a fine human being. I am telling everyone about him!

Discussion: I’ve had plenty of practice working to free up the ribcase post open-heart surgery. It’s important to re-establish normal motion of the ribs and promote ease around lungs, heart and their connections from below via the diaphragm and up into the neck. This in turn helps free the breathing, and motion in the whole body, especially the neck.
