One of the ideas that we focus on in my office is making people aware of how they are. How they sit, stand, walk, work and being aware of their position, posture and how well it's working for them.
This idea is exaggerated when we have to perform a asymmetrical activity repetitively, such as delivering mail, performing dental work, driving, and painting. Even sitting at a computer we tend to look, bend, lean in one direction more often than the other side. Your body will adapt to how you use it, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way.
More often than not, your kids, walk like you do. They gestor like you, they stand like you, they mimic you. Have an awareness of how you do, what you do.
We can't change somethings like the shape or arch of our feet, but we do have control over many other aspects of how we function.
I show people everyday things that are different on one side of their body vs the other side. Most of the time they have no idea of how they are.
You shouldn't obsess over yourself, but a healthy awareness that help you function and mature in the way you are going. Sit up, hold your head up, drop your shoulders and .....smile. You will feel better.
